Will Riot ever deal with armor pen stacking?

I don't know because the majority of terrible players think it should be a legimate strategy. Every champ should be limited to 2 armor pen items max. Because ignoring 100+ armor is BS because ignoring 30 wasn't enough with flat or even 60+ with a single item. Or better yet make it so you can only stack up to 30 of flat armor pen and you can only build 1 % armor item. And whichever is larger it the armor pen used. Because every single assassin bypasses armor just by stacking a bunch of armor pen items because they all synergize together and have good AD to boot. And if you build HP they just build a Botrk. And now you are screwed either way. And if you thought you could kill them they have lifesteal too.

I had 180 armor as Darius including a thornmail and spirit visage and Rengar with item 3707 , item 3142 , item 3035 could burst me in less than 2 seconds. I'm sorry but as much as people complain about tanks. I don't think they are a problem when you can ignore their defence and straight up murder them before they can do their job. I honestly may even be fine with the amount of armor pen we had if item 3142 didn't dip into 5 damage stats : crit, AS, armor pen, damage, and movespeed for stick. Also it gets a gold boost from item 3093 making people who are ahead just even further ahead.

I don't understand how voiding 2k gold value is allowed with cheap items. It doesn't make any sense. You spend 3k+ on most armor items to have them nulled by an item that is 2500.

180 Armor Darius including a Thornmail...is a Darius with a Thornmail. No other armor items needed to hit 180.

TL;DR: OP built a Thornmail, thinks that means he should be safe from physical damage.

Thorn mail is more of an offensive choice rather then defencive

Im sorry but 180 armor should be enough when mixed with hp to tank someone half built with a cheaper build. If they can kill you with a cheaper build that defeats the purpose of playing safe to build defensive.

You build a item 3742 you lose to this. You build item 3143 you lose. You build item 3068 you lose. There is literally not a single item that can deal with early game armor pen being rushed unless it is flat armor pen and when Rengars damage comes from his AAs he should suffer from thornmail. Thornmail should be anti AA right now its justa terrible item unless you stack 400 armor at which point people with armor pen are ignoring over 200+ armor.

Im just gonna point out that if you have a darius and THAT is your ONLY armor item. you DESERVE to be Bursted down in 2 seconds. all you need is Cleaver and Titanic Hydra, the rest is armor, Mr and Health and NOBODY, (unless you are very, VERY underfed) will be able to burst you down.

Im sorry but when you lane against a Teemo as Darius have fun trying to farm enough gold to outscale a Rengar especially with Riot's servers being extremely shitty since 5.19.

But teemo isnt good against darius, Sure your farming is harder but your KDA ratio is gonna make up for that, Darius wrecks Teemo. and if teemo is reduced to tower hugging, you wont need kills cause all you have to do is freze the lane and harass the teemo

Teemo counters Darius do you understand his kit? His kit has a blind so there goes your W. His kit also gives him mobility so he can kite you. There goes your Q. The only thing you can do to Teemo is hope he wanders close enough for you to pull him and the pull is so buggy now that it doesn't pull people that it should.

If he blinds you, just dont AA, walk past him and after the blind wears off THEN you attack him.why walk past him? To get in the way of him and his tower.

His kit also gives him mobility so he can kite you. There goes your Q.

If hes kiting you hes missing farm. it works to your advantage. Use the Q to farm minions and push the lane then. (It also heals you in case you didnt know that.)

The only thing you can do to Teemo is hope he wanders close enough for you to pull him and the pull is so buggy now that it doesn't pull people that it should.

  1. they fixed the bug, the blade pulls you if it actually touches you (League bases touching the champ by where hes standing, not his body, so aim for a champs feet. Thats why some abilities that SHOULD have hit, actually dont.) Buy boots early.
  2. The bushes exist for a reason, ward them so that HE cant use them (1 Pink in the middle bush, 2 Stealth wards in the side ones. Not only do you see all the bushes, you also see him if he stays still and goes invis.)
  3. when he tries to stay invis. YOU go in the bushes (if you warded right you should be able to see any shrooms he might have set.) and get close withought giving him a chance to start atacking, get as close as you can from WITHIN the bush, THEN you jump him.
  4. Teemo has NO ESCAPES other than flash, so once he wastes it, its easy picking for you.
  5. Be a smart player, DONT start with Cleaver or Hydras, Start with Spirit Visage. that way your heal is stronger(even if you only hit minions) and you have MR so he does NO damage early game. Good Luck :)

But the point is that if they stack armor pen and then build a item 3153 you literally cannot do anything to tank against them. There is nothing you can do. They have a shit ton of damage and 2 % hps as well as good AS and MS and the sustain. Literally mixing armor pen and % hps makes it impossible to tank against.

I don't have an answer for tanking them. However, one way to deal with them is to shut them down early game so they can't afford those items easily.

So that way your team will look even dumber when a 0/6 vayne gets a penta with just a item 3153 at the 30:00 min mark
