Overspecializing - And still you don't get it.

Do you know what happens when everyone goes all AD all melee all in all damage all glass cannon? You get countered by a SINGLE CHAMPION very easily, and if the enemy sees this (and they ALWAYS DO), you are FUCKED!

If you depend on one champion (read: the support) to do literally everything that isn't damage, you are FUCKED! The enemy will just focus them to rob you of that one advantage.

And literally nobody I have ever met in this goddamn game has even begun to understand this, and they likely won't, even given fifteen quintillion lifetimes to learn. Most champions out there are NOT overpowered; most of you out there have overnerfed your amoebic brains and play into the strengths of 99% of all the champions. You accustom yourself too much to playing against players with the competence of a coat rack, so when you actually face against a REAL menace, you shit yourselves and scurry to this forum to complain about how everyone is overpowered. And it's not just one single person that does it; literally tens of millions of you have the exact same mindset. You only pay attention to arbitrary numbers and statistics, you don't actually pay attention to the game itself, you don't adapt to anything, and you don't alter your playstyle outside of an all or nothing 1v9 mentality. THAT is why you are stuck in an "elo hell", and once you break out of that mentality, you'll actually get better at the fucking game!

I try to adapt, I am not doing to great at that though I will admit. I agree with the entirety of your post.

You had a Garen on your team last game, also you built a sightstone then all damage, no utility. I don't see where this is coming from.

I built all the AP because I was constantly in the middle of our team, spamming healing. I was also the only one who was actually able to damage turrets and the only one trying to push or defend the lanes. The enemy pushed two turrets while the team farmed in the jungle before responding. I had the ability to poke (which no one else could do because uh-hguh), heal, move allies around faster, etc. People forget AP scaling on supports is a thing. I also stopped building most support items because everyone always squanders the buffs or neglects to actually do anything other than farm in the jungle endlessly. It also makes me a much bigger target than I already was doing literally everything that wasn't damage and then some.

And ultimately, Garen couldn't tank all that much because he was close range just like everyone else, and the enemy could focus multiple targets at once, AND I was the only person who had basically any kind of crowd control. I was (and treated as) the lynchpin to the entire team's success and failure by basically short-sighted decision making.

And people wonder why no one plays support.

I'm stuck because people do this. It's why I quit ranked in regards to trying to go up in rank. (I still try) Last promos I had someone build AD Malzahar. Then he sold all his items to build tank Malzahar. After that game, I got into a queue with the same person. He said he was high.

  1. Who the hell plays high?
  2. Who builds tank Malzahar?
  3. Since when is the weed addicted person in ranked a representation of my skill level?

I didn't stay. I left. Sue me for not wasting 20 minutes of my time.

  • K/D/A means nothing if you are not helping the team and getting towers. Sometimes a tank sacrifices their life just to get a tower down and that sacrifice ends up with a win because the DPS goes after the enemy base.

  • Damage means nothing if you are not pushing at some point and helping the team. You could be in the jungle. You could also be targeting a tank.

  • Lack of wards make the entire team suffer as well as not indicating missing.

  • People say "it is just a game" in RANKED. Don't go into a competitive atmosphere if your going to screw around.

  • People whine about losing their lane while someone offered to switch with them and declined.

  • Supports get harassed because they couldn't out heal a dumb ADC play, shield the damage from four people, or CC them all because they were spread out.

  • Jungle get's harassed at times if they are not omnipresent.

  • ADC get's harassed for getting zoned by the enemy ADC (counter picked) and their entire 'ally' team points out the lack of CS. All this while support fails to counter zone.

  • Tanks get harassed for... Being tanks. Tanks don't focus on damage. Even then, they can get higher damage output. Derp.

  • Mages get harassed for being countered in mid lane. It's called a team game for a reason. Gank mid.
