PSA: complaining about the new blue essence system in the forums, is USELESS.

Here's a little Marketing 101 lesson.

No matter how many complaint threads you make, no matter how many upvotes they get, it doesn't matter at all to Riot.

Do you think Riot didn't expect some form of backlash?

They know, both from marketing studies and from past experience with controversial changes (RP price increase, skin price increase, chroma buyable almost only with RP, expensive emote stickers), that forum whining means nothing and it will eventually subside in a week or two.

What they look for is concrete data. The data says that despite all of your complaining in the forum, you keep playing the game regularly and you keep buying that new skin because "oooh it's just too cool". So they keep making a profit. And with this new system, they will make even more profit because unlocking champions has become slower so players feel more incentivated to spend real money to have them.

If you really wanted things to change for the better, you should play the game less because the new system is unrewarding and a shameless ploy for greedy Riot to make EVEN MORE profit. If you wanted things to change for the better, you should not give money to Riot until they show less shame in finding new ways to make even more money.

As soon as Riot starts losing money, THAT's when things will change for the better.

Riot is constantly pushing to see just how gullible and addicted their customers are.

And we all know that Riot will win again. In a couple of weeks, you all will stop complaining about the new exp system. And probably spend even more money.
