Stop Champion Nerfs for Environmental Factors

Why nerf the tankers now that they're stronger due to Cinderhulk? Sejuani was nerfed twice but Cinderhulk was nerfed later anyway.

And Kha'zix... Elise... yeah. These champions were slapped the fuck out, now they can barely compete in a harder jungle. Because the season 4 ENVIRONMENT suited them, but the CHAMPION was nerfed...

item 3100 was nerfed explicitly to nerf the champs that used it. So was item 3174 and all mana regen items. http://lolwiki-note.info/pic/item/3128.png was removed to make sure that AP assassins could be healthier without it.

This is how balancing works.

Elise and Kha'Zix were simply too powerful to be left alone, and trying everything but addressing the core problem is not something you should be encouraging Riot to do more of.

Too many factors in play. Yes Cinderhulk pushed Sejuani a bit over the top. That's why she got nerfed. But Cinderhulk created other problems with Top lane smite.

You also can't expect riot to lay out their changes in Advance, to check for over nerfs. The nerfs to the top Junglers was done likely without the fore site of pre season changes. And the pre season changes targeted a much larger environmental goal. (which did affect the top season 4 junglers) But really the only one not currently viable is Elise. Eve and Lee are still good at what the do.

Environmental factors come up independent of the top champions domination and they regrettably get caught in the crossfire.

Personally, I agree with most of your point, as when these problems crop up, they need to be addressed asap. The problem is, that is as far as Riot tends to deal with things for a very extended period of time.

Elise, as the example used by the OP, was nerfed due to the environment of the Meta at that time, and how she could handle taking neutral objectives (mostly dragon/baron) pretty quick, plus she could help in poke comps, which were pretty popular at the time.

The problem is...the Meta is all kinds of different, the entire jungle is different, and Riot leaves her in the exact same state, which in turn makes her terrible in the current state of, if nothing else, the jungle.

Hell, look at Urgot. He used to be THE number one adc back in season 2 ish, he wasn't nerfed, he was taken out back and had a few of his mechanical legs broken. It was multiple YEARS later before anything was even addressed, and it took multiple shifts in the meta (and buffs, and item changes) for him to pop back up.

Riot has a terrible habit of kneecapping champions with knee jerk nerfs, then leaving champions in that same bad state for years, and in some cases, champions still haven't been addressed after negative changes (See Skarner).
