@Riot Shaco Two-Shiv Poison QoL Change

Proposed Change Two-Shiv Poison: Applies a chance to miss to minions and monsters ⇒ Every 5 attacks, Shaco's next attack against a minion or monster will blind

Effect Madred's Razors, back in the day, had a chance to apply bonus damage, but it was removed in favor of applying bonus damage every few attacks. The purpose of this change is the same now as the reason for the change back then. it removes RNG from a game of skill.

Justification This doesn't buff Shaco; in fact, it's actually a net nerf, because Shaco's chance to blind currently scales up to 30%, and this is hard locked at 1 in 5 attacks, equivalent to 20% (The minimum chance now). However, the blind only really helps until he finishes his lifesteal item (Which he usually rushes after his jungle item) and this debuff cannot be applied to Dragon/Baron, the only monsters capable of out-hitting his lifesteal, so one in five attacks is still sufficient, and it is well worth gaining consistency.

Furthermore, he can also box tank which, if done properly, makes 1 in 5 strikes more than enough.

I know Shaco may be reworked, but I was informed by a Rioter that it's an opportunity-based, "When we come up for an idea" rework. So, until that time, and it could be a while, this would make his E passive much more satisfying. It'd be a nice little QoL that doesn't impact his power level but alleviates frustrations of never proccing E during a clear.

This change is right up your alley in terms of philosophy, Riot, or at least I think and hope it is C:. Really hope his can be addressed.

2 reasons it should be like that

  1. Shaco is an assassin. Not a DoT trader like Irelia. He doesn't need to consantly AA something, he just needs to burst it down as soon as he can.

  2. Krugs can just be smited to stun something every 6 attacks, so making it kind of useless when you got that on.

  1. It's not against champions, and he is literally an AA-based assassin. He still AAs to proc his blind the way it is now.

  2. He already has a blind. This is just removing the RNG. It's not redundant, either. If I want to get Razor Sharp, I can't blow smite on Krugs. >.>.

So you want it only used against monsters and minions why?

The E right now is kind of meh, and doesn't do much.

It's not that I don't think they should change it, but I just happen to dislike your change. It seems pretty weak. Because the dodge percentage chance is higher than every 5 autoattacks.

What,..I only changed the passive of his E,...It's LITERALLY the EXACT SAME as it is now, except that the passive blind applies every five hits instead of a 20% on every hit. This isn't complicated.

Except that 20% passive scales larger thus making it (statistically speaking) better than the one you gave. Sorry.

Here it is:

Affected minions also have their chance to hit reduced by 20 / 22.5 / 25 / 27.5 / 30 %.

Which, if you read the post, you'd see I said. I also explained why it's inconsequential. He will be getting Tiamat extremely quickly, which provides him with as much sustain as he needs. Having another 2.5% chance per rank is pretty inconsequential, especially since he also almost always builds Ranger's. You cannot evenly fractionalize the decimals that those percentages have.

I for one value the consistency in knowing I will, for sure, avoid some hits from my passive, rather than RNG deciding it doesn't proc at all and I get hit more often.

NOT TO MENTION, if you know how to box tank properly, one in 5 hits is more than enough.

It's still just a bad addition to the game. I don't like either of them. the one in 5 hits blind, or the % dodge chance. Should be removed and replaced with something better.

Which is why it's a QoL until the rework.
