What do you guys think? She has decent poke+damage+CC with Q, E does decent damage, silences, snares, and provides infinite sustain, and she is very good against assassins because she can drop it on top of herself when they jump on her, and last but not least, although she can't use W in lane, he heals late game after building some ap are disgustingly broken. Thoughts? I don't play her mid, I'm just wondering/looking for opinions.
dunkeroni2 votesIt doesn't work well since her recent rework(nerf). Now since the Q heal applies a buff over time and doesn't stack, you can't reliably get your health back quickly when you get ganked. Also the decrease in her Q range hurt a lot, and before that the increase mana usages made her early game even more difficult.
Don't get me wrong, full AP mid soraka was hilarious not too long ago, but I think it has finally be silenced by the Riot nerf rework team.

FACE THE WlND1 votesZed is probably the assassin that Soraka should counter the hardest, Zed ults, Soraka drops silence zone making Zed unable to reactivate ult, combo, and eventually snare him if he decides to stay in the zone.
Ezzary1 votesnot even. unless you build something like frozen heart then zed just needs to land 2 shadow qs then all in you and he can get a q off if he spams it as he comes out of ulti before silence actually affects him. also raka mid is pretty garbage as her q damage falls off very quickly and she does not have kill pressure or roam pressure compared to every other mid laner.
Fawksea1 votesyea she's too squishy, unless you start building like rylais she's gonna be destroyed in lane against assassins, but if you wanna play soraka mid make sure your adc /jungler/top has some damage mid-late game cause you're trading out damage for heals, if you have lets say a yi jungle, you're good. if you have a gragas tank jungle, naut top and a utility /tank support you only have an adc for damage, so you either focus your heals on them and hope the enemy doesn't focus them or lose

ArlanKels1 votesAs I mention in this other thread Soraka mid players tend to migrate from a "Mid Mage" into a mid to late game "Support" type role.
You can do well in the early game but the further into the game you get the weaker she becomes as a "Damage mage", but the more she shines as a Utility.
