Player base

Since Fortnite is booming right now and with the recent events of the celebrities playing Fortnite and blowing the game up even more, I really hope it takes over the League player base unless Riot addresses the issues and in a quick matter. I understand the games are completely different, but since League isn't very fun to play anymore due to the player literally having to meta slave and play around bot lane only, players can switch to Fortnite and just have a blast playing the game while also having a competitive feel to the game. Pretty much every popular LoL streamer plays Fortnite now at some point in their stream and seem to have more fun while playing it. It may just be me losing interest in the game, but I feel Riot and League of Legends could be in trouble.

I remember this being said about PuBG, and Overwatch, and DoTA 2, and just about every other game that has come out over the past couple of years. If the game fails, it fails, if you are having more fun with Fortnite, go play Fortnite, I don't see the point of post like this. You can't please everyone, someone is going to be pissed no matter the balance, who cares if one game is doing better, play what you enjoy.

I personally don't play Fortnite. I was just pointing out the obvious and I'm sure a thought in the back of peoples mind when they see a game that's just progressively growing. I tune into popular league streamers streams and at some point or another, Fortnite is brought into the equation and that conversation begins.

Just like every other game before it. Seriously, the legit same thing was said about Pubg months ago.

It could actually be a great thing... maybe the people who troll and act like morons will leave and the people who actually enjoy and respect league will be the only people left making the entire game more enjoyable

This is exactly why the people who love league shouldnt worry. This is a good thing. The game will be alot more fun if there is less people playing. Let the kids play fortnite while the others play league.

It never will. There's a reason League has been the most played online multiplayer game for years.

Anyway isn't Fortnite actually popular because Epic are pretty much paying everyone and their mothers to flog the game?

I don't know the answer to your question, but my theory is because their game developers are VERY active with popular streamers who enjoy playing the game. I don't play or watch Fortnite personally, but I do tune into a stream every once in awhile and that seems to be the reason as to why it's blowing up. It also just seems like a fun game you can jump on and play with friends with a slight competitive feel.

I climbed to Gold from Silver on non-meta champs for two seasons straight. I never paid attention to the "meta."

I regularly win games on non-meta champs in norms.

So I dunno...

I do the same up until I reach about Platinum. Platinum is my peak in terms of "non-meta slaving."

that's funny. I can play what the fuck I want and get to diamond with it in below 100 wins. probably just NA soloq > euw soloq Kappa

Every new game booms because all are trying the new one.

Look at their player-base 1 and 2 years after the boom. That are the numbers that count much more. Question is how a game feels after some hours of gameplay.

Keshaun1 votes

That is true. I don't know the how long people will be playing Fortnite, but right now it's a train that's not slowing down.

We will see this. Dota2 is one example for this as well: http://steamcharts.com/app/570#All

Dota2 reached the peak at 02/2015 and it lasted until 2017. From there on 1/4 loss year to year. CS:Go seems stable at about 600k.

Every game has the same graph. The major point is on wich level it stops falling.

It is hard to find valid indicators. How about korean internet-café´s [GaMetrics tracks them]? In 10/2017 the market share for PUBG (no1) there was 24% as well as for LoL, Overwatch with 13% and 37% for alle other games together. In 2/2018 PUBG´s market share grew to 38%, LoL still at 23%, Overwatch dropped to 8%, rest of the games with 31%. So the rise of PUBG (compared 10/2017 with 2/2018) is a drain out of Overwatch and others: http://static.inven.co.kr/column/2017/10/19/news/i14062106816.jpg http://www.gametrics.com/GameTricsUpFiles/ContentsFiles/2018030603.JPG Via www.gametrics.com

Just an indicator as there is a lack of information. But I think quite valid. I think LoL is (seems to be) quite solid. Maybe this is as well the base as other games actually reach their peak. And to say this - a %age is minor. In times the absolute number of players have rosen (or rise). Even less %age may count more players. I can´t tell.

Do not ever rework yasuo pls,, not only he is one of the most played champions but also he is my best champion .In other words if yasuo will be reworked I will lose my intrest to league and so will other players
