Flex - A Failure of a Queue
As in the title, my post will be regarding the balancing (or entirely lack thereof) in flex
Due to the nature of the grouped content, anywhere between 5, 3, 2, or none of the people on your Team may be queued together
This leads to some pretty severe imbalances, where the enemy team can be a premade, with communications channels, coordination, and (typically) all being relatively skilled or acceptable players
Whereas, when you are alone, without a group, it is like digging into a gift bag, you never know what you'll find, sometimes you'll come across the D4 Yasuo OTP that has a 70% winrate as Yasuo in Diamond, other times you'll come across the Iron 4 Yasuo that is first timing the Champion as a Jungler.
Attempting to get to Gold in Flex has genuinely made me come to hate League of Legends, and that's saying a lot, I easily grinded through Solo Queue to reach Gold this season (and in fact it had me start all the way in the depths of the abyss, Bronze 1, where no one that maintains their sanity should ever venture), and yet I'm hardstuck Silver 1 (most likely about to Demote no less).
You're sticking me against High Gold, Plat, and Diamond players, often in premades, to fight for Gold 5??? I'm doing all of this for a Chroma?
The TL;DR being, remove queue specific rewards, it is absurd how hard it is to climb to Gold in Flex; statistically, you are at a massive disadvantage if you queue alone, and it only gets worse as you go along
Some of you may argue that "it isn't meant to be another solo queue", and I'm fine with that, except to the point that when the enemy team can often have 3+ members in a coordinated chat from the get-go, that all work together as opposed to against each other, it makes it downright near impossible to carry
Individual skill or accomplishment is nearly meaningless in Flex Queue, and that's problematic.
