So Singed....

I honestly think Singed really needs a passive rework... not an overall one. BUt he's forced into these ludicrous builds to make use of his passive and then has zero move speed or tankiness to support the minimal bonus HP from it.

I noticed this in Ascension(Yes I know, not a good benchmark) But i had a ton of itemization that would be considered "good" for singed to have but it means literally nothing when champions with merc treads and spell pen boots simply outwalk singled with swiftys and ult running, and then when they turn on you after you putter out, you have zero tank items to survive with since the new items provide none when trying to even go RoA into semi tanky items, which you then give up having Rylais, or the Hextech slowing item.

I like playing SInged, I think he's a blast, but its next to impossible to play at the moment.

Edit: As for making a suggestion to better Singed, outside of adjusting his abilities to not be so mana based for a build that has little mana OR if someone chooses to stack mana. Mana should turn into Armor and MR or into Move Speed, something more viable for him as a champion rather than an awkward 300-400 bonus hp that does nothing.

You know, you don't have to build for his passive just because it exists.

His passive is just another way for him to obtain tank stats. It's not necessarily optimal, and you don't have to worry about it. If the items/meta allow you to abuse it, then go ahead. But it's fine to build normal tank + RoA and let your passive be just 'something nice to have'.

I'm not saying it's good design to have a passive like that, but you don't have to build something 'ludicrous' just to make use of it.

Always go for the most gold-efficient/optimal build. Your passive simply provides extra avenues for that, extra gold-efficiency, simply extra stats from items you might be getting anyway, or it might even tip the scale in favor of a mana item you were considering but wasn't quite good enough. Doesn't mean you need to build Frozen Heart into an AP team just because you need the mana.

Remember that you have access to the same items that any other tank has access to. You will be as tanky as anyone with the same build, except you will always have free health from your base mana, and whichever mana items you happened to get. It's just free stats.

yes his passive needs rework since currently his optimal build doesn't have any mana in it. but. there are worse passives in the game that haven't been addressed. i dont think these kind of things get addressed until a class rework. or a champion update.
