Just because he's not so hot in the jungle at the moment doesn't mean players shouldn't play Yi if they actually enjoy and like the champion. If the Yi can't pull his own weight, start pulling your own and get that backpack ready. Otherwise, you're just as much a liability as the 'terrible' Yi is.
Friendly PSA to the OP: If you stop bitching about champion picks and let people play what they want/are most comfortable with, they tend to do better.
So what, you want us to pick champs we don't like? We're not all metasheeps who pick the FOTM champs, you know.
Yi is still very playable, people just don't know how to build him right now. Here's an example of someone who does.
I'm not sure what this post is supposed to do. Since I started playing in season 2, I've been led to believe Yi players don't know how to read.

As for the total post, I feel like Yi is definitely weaker, but I feel MOST of the issues lie in people using Devourer all the time. Now that it's gone A LOT of Yi's have come to learn that they aren't that good without it. He requires A LOT more awareness now that it's been replaced and he actually needs to be smart about his clearing and farming.
Once people get use to not having Devo to help them snowball it'll stabalize.
Lane Yi isn't exactly stellar there chief.

Tbh I agree, and that's why if I jungle I don't really play him at the moment. I'll just play Volibear. He's much better and easier to play, so, whatever I guess.
Yi's back where he was before the devourer cheese (not awful but not great either). and as a yi main, i really miss it, and look forward to trying to find an underdog build with him that whacks people into oblivion.
Yeah, though Yi got hit BAD this patch
lost the furor boots (epic for chasing down with ult) he lost the automatic devourer passive that essentially gave his q no cooldown (now he gotta work for it, which is lame)
Im kind of tempted to do AP hybrid.
The jungle has nothing to do with Yi's problems its his Dueling potential that sucks
same with xin zhao and jax.
