Meteos would be a terrible fit for C9s current team. Back when he was doing great, he was able to do so by just farming and relying on his lanes to go even or ahead, which is something they could do every single game a couple of years ago. It won't work now though, as C9s individual laners tend to be pretty weak.

Dude those games made me wonder why the hell people play Kindred period. I mean seriously what does she offer exactly? I understand she's a power pick in Korea and just under Nidalee in terms of power but why? I hate having her on my team because now we just lack a front liner. Her ultimate just creates an AoE Aatrox effect, if your ahead it's awesome, if your behind...."lol?"
Ethyreon4 votesKindred is a power pick because she's a god tier control jungler and scales really well. Her ult somewhat makes of for lack of a tank because it prevents anyone on your team from getting bursted down.
Part of it is that TSM has been really good at playing around Kindred ult, even in the regular season. They pretty much forced Rush onto Kindred, picked Kalista as a counter and generally just played well.
LankPants3 votesGo watch Peanut play Kindred. When Kindred's played by a good jungler she's absolutely insane. Most of the junglers in NA just aren't good enough to play Kindred properly and the one who probably is just isn't a stylistic match for Kindred.

Though this drafting style is something I've seen LemonNation do both as a player and now as a coach, they'll stick to a pick or strategy that it seems like everyone but himself is able to see is not working. They actively picked against their pick-style compositions which worked so well for them this season in favor of.......i'm not even really sure what they were aiming for after game 1.
It's like they would pick half their team and then look at who was banned after the fact. Why rush (heh) into a kindred when we know his Lee Sin is incredible and works pretty much no matter the situation? The whole series was just weird. Oh well hopefully they pick it up next split and figure out what went wrong the second they got into playoffs.
TSM definitely deserved the win, they finally played like the team they were supposed to be.
