Riot needs to keep level 5 players with level 5 players, not level 25

Also, there needs to be a low priority queue. Just had someone take no smite, get executed 3 times, then afk and just rage in all chat. But yet they're going to be allowed to keep doing this no matter the amount they get reported.

31 March edit: I should mention, this person who had no smite was because they were low level and probably didnt even know you're suppose to take smite into jungle. I didnt catch it until we were already into game.

Yeah I agree. I think it should pre 30 should be split into like 3 different groups to find people in the queue: level 3-7, 8-17, 18-29.

3-7 for beginners in league 8-17 for people with flash 18-29 because at level 18+ you have the ability to get a key stone.

I also don't think people under level 30 should have the ability to party up with their level 30 friends in pvp.

I think thats what this game was. They brought in their super low level friend who wouldnt NOT jungle, but didnt even have smite

20+ is a much larger spike though. A lot of smurfs will save IP until level 20 so they can buy 20 tier 3 runes. Most people don't waste IP on runes before that.

Getting runes at level 20 is a much bigger spike than the key stone.

Let me put all of your suggestions into their true form.

extreme queue times for everyone below level 30.

remove the biggest knowledge source of new players and also the ability to have fun with friends without playing against bots

You know what low priority queue is right? It's literally just a wait time before entering the normal queue. I think it starts at five minute waits for five games, then it goes up to twenty minutes for five games if you keep up the leaving/afk behavior.

I don't believe that's a true low priority queue, but I think they should adopt the Dota 2 style of shoving everyone that's toxic into their own toxic queue.

I thought the toxic queue was Dota 2.

Are you sure it should start at 18 - 29? Prior to level 20 you do not have access to good runes. I think that is a more noticeable power spike than keystones. And even then it should end at level 27. Level 28 and 29 are skilled enough to hold their own against level 30s. That disadvantage of a single quintessence, glyph and seal can be overcome. The experience of playing against level 30s is more valuable than beating up on lower leveled players.

the horrors of starting league for the first time. i guess it's riot's way of preparing you for the ultimate anal rape you're about to get once you hit lvl 30 and start playing rank with the really toxic kids. it's like lvl 1-30 is a test to see if you have to drive and motivation to prepare yourself to what coming in the future....TROLLS, AFKS, FEEDERS, FLAMERS, TILTERS, AND SMURFS.

you need to stop smurfing, because i know for damn sure when i was level 25 i didn't give a damn about any of these complaints you're making.

It isn't about just me. This guy ruined the game for other players new or not. If you're only focus in this problem is that I was on a smurf, then you have a lot of other stuff you need to figure out first.

Also, people are allowed to have accounts on other Servers, this is going to be my NA account since I go back and forth and do not want to move my account and pay for the server change. So I haven't done anything wrong.

Not all level 5 players are trash, thats just stupid.

I was smurfing on another server on my level 15~ish account and we had a Sion who was harassing people in champ select (for no reason I could tell, maybe he had them last game?) and he decided to intentionally feed (though he stopped INTENTIONALLY feeding, he would all-in people every opportunity regardless of any other circumstances like towers, 3v1s, etc. he would just go berserk) he ended up with 20 deaths in a 35 minute game. I was like 16/3 or something and the only reason we stayed in the game that long with his feeding.

I bet nothing happened to him after being reported too lol and he will go on and continue to ruin games. Actually he said he had 6 accounts banned before (though idk if that was true) so idk. Seems like IP bans need to be a thing

Once played a game with a level 24, and the rest of our team was Silver/bronze, and this level 24 played mid against a diana and she went 40/5 and after the game I checked and she was Plat 4

Yeah, I stop caring immediately if I see a level 10 or 20 in my game. It's a poor experience for them and a poor experience for me. I'd rather longer queue times if that's what it means to get a level 30 only queue for norms.

If you're level 5 and getting paired with level 25s, it means you're most likely a smurf and have been ruining hundreds of legit level 5s days to the point where your hidden normal MMR is beyond higher than what it should be at that level. People may argue "oh but that's why they should just only do co-ops", but even that gets boring after repetitive grinding on the journey to level 30. Once in a while people will normally want to play with real humans. A new player shouldn't be forced to choose between either 100% roflstomp smurfs or boring co-ops grinding. They should be fighting other legit beginners in normals. This factor alone would already discourage a new player-base from forming. Look at what happened to Star Craft. If you play vs. Humans typically it's just smurfs waiting to get their joy of the day by roflstomping new players.

On another note, I think if the overall Team level average exceeds the locked summoner spell, it should be temporarily unlocked for that game in particular for an even playing ground. Seeing we've established Level 5 smurfs are being paired with level 25+ with Tier 2 runes/Masteries and all spells unlocked, I can see where the OP makes his point. I think all Tier 1 runes should be temporarily scaled up to Tier 2, and Tier 2's temporarily Tier 3's if the overall average Team level exceeds level 10 or 20. I also think once a player hits level 10 the Tier 1 runes permanenly upgrade to Tier 2 automatically and the Tier 2's permanently to Tier 3 at level 20.

This won't really stop the rune slot unlocks but, if we removed that then the feeling of reward and unlocking kind of go down the drain.

I didnt do any PVP until level 25 outside of aram for that reason. I didnt want to blow new players out of the water and crush their experience. The issue I was referring to is that in a game with 9 level 25-30 players, there was one random level 5 person (who was toxic as holy hell)

I'm going to take a guess that the level 5 was probably invited by someone.

There are too few players for specific levels when ranking up to 30 so the system has to pool them together. I'm sure it's possible to match players with their level, but just because of how the matchmaking system is lose and generalized this matchmaking is how it works for now :/
