He meant Halo 5. It replaced Halo 4 with zen-like determination, a symbol of what not to forget what things have come to. The first Halo without split-screen play, the only thing that old-school Halo players ever cared about.
Well, maybe Street Fighter V can also hold that title alongside it, which didn't even have an arcade mode. That's still, like, Did I really just get told there's no arcade mode in a Street Fighter game, the very series that invented it?

You should see me play him. I have no idea how people do it and why he is considered a "noob champion", I just can't make him work even if my life depended on it. I just go in, get focused, die, rinse and repeat.
He's incredibly good if the other team is simply not skilled enough to hard-cc him properly, because that's almost certainly going to get him killed. The dude dies to a feather and straight-up requires his entire team to engage first while he's hiding somewhere else, then when they use all their CDs, he cleans up the whole team before they come back. If they already used their hard cc, he's so in the clear to slice up their entire team, it's a bit frightening.
Yi is so freaking fragile that if he gets locked down by anything, he's as good as dead. But if he can time when he goes in and when he Alpha Strikes and Meditates just right, that's what separates an unsuccessful Yi from a skilled Yi.
Low learning curve, but high skill cap, as they say. I haven't tried it, but with his recent change to way-better bonus AD scaling, I imagine he could be pretty slick with Warrior's, now, too, instead of always going Devourer, which should in theory make him much more useful in the early game.

Really? I've gone up against a bunch of
and
after the nerfs and they still do absurd amounts of damage, they just substitute
for the nerfed
and just roll over everything per usual

no... the nerfs really hit them hard...
trust me they are not doing the same amount of damage as they were last patch unless they build pure damage
Fiora is still 100% fine if played right
SHHHHH.
because they didn't want to kneecap her, they wanted to make it harder for Fiora to build full tank.
It's like... They're okay with Fiora destroying people's faces, just not doing it with titanic->sterak's>defensive items. It's exactly the same as the Yi changes - scaling changes that will mostly only affect people building full tank and will be a net change of almost nothing or slight buff to people building full damage.
Yi does less dmg but only slightly. Fiora however..... I have NO idea how you can say she is still op, she got totally fucking gutted and tossed into the trash this patch (which is a good thing)
someone doesnt read the patch notes ;)

[slayer-jinx-unamused]
Maybe what he meant was the Yi player didn't read the patch notes.
yeah x) yi not the op
he probably read the nerf and was trying out
must have been a bad master yi. master yi can build 1 damage item and still do the most damage in the game due to his high base values and his ultimate.
didn't read patch notes
Fixed that for ya
they increased the base value for the true damage. overall. he needs to get a bit of ad to basically make the nerf meaningless. early game too
Did you miss the fact that they changed the AD ratio from 0.1/0.125/0.15/0.175/0.2 Total AD to 0.25 Bonus AD?
At level 13 (when Yi would have E maxed), that's 12 damage lost per hit from your base value.
I think you need 245 Bonus AD for the true damage to be on par with the previous value (assuming level 13 Base AD). That is not a "bit of AD"; that's about three or four high AD items.
yes. FOUR?
Most high AD items provide ~75 AD, though some that he may like (i.e. Maw of Malmortius) provide less.
245 AD / 75 AD = 3.25
So yeah, depending on what items are chosen, he would need three or four AD items to break even on Wuju Style's true damage (calculated using level 13 base AD).
Yes, it was a hard nerf to the bastard.
yea
Yah but yi pre patch was 3-5 shotting people early so big whoop, now it takes 2 hits more until you get to that late game. So keep starting bork and devo and spam q and hope someone hits cc. Trust me, I find it hard to believe that patch did much in the way of his carrying potential.
it didn't because that wasn't the intent. Yi that builds AD wasn't nerfed at all - Yi that goes devourer->titanic->sterak's->full tank was nerfed, because you shouldn't be able to build all tank items and destroy people. They specifically nerfed his Wuju Style to BONUS AD from TOTAL AD because Sterak's only affects BASE AD so abilities with bonus scaling are unaffected by it.
Don't forget he also gets 10% bonus AD
that goes away during the e active, doesnt it? or is it only during cd
Only during the CD I believe
Even though he is fed look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvXZejY7Nqs
So your death was prolonged by .5-1 auto attacks. Nice
Thank you someone acknowledges that actual reality of this nerf
He "killed tanks in one shot" prior to the nerf Now he needs 2!!!!

You're right... every one is still being a crybaby about yi and realizing that a yi with 6 items actually does damage (like every other carry go figure)

12/0.25 = 48, not 245. just wondering where you got the 245 from?
I put the formula for the pre-nerf and post-nerf on-hit damage of Wuju Style into an Excel document.
I used Master Yi's base AD at level 18 in the calculation pre-nerf calculation since it uses Total AD.
Then I made a list of values (incrementing by 5) for the Bonus AD value and plugged them into the formula.
After that, I just looked to see when the post-nerf damage finally over-took the pre-nerf damage for Wuju Style.
If you want to do the calculation yourself, I used the following:
I will admit that I had forgotten to account for the bonus AD provided by Wuju Style. Including that seems to lower it to 215.
To correct the above formulas, simply include the Bonus AD from Wuju Style where appropriate.

alright. thanks for sharing! i didn't realize it was that significant of a nerf

I find that people who cant master basic grammar or the ability to capitalize the first word of a sentence following a period... are often either dumb, lazy, or possibly both.
Let me help you out a bit man.
First, "overall." should be capitalized as the first word in a sentence, thats just how shit is done. Now I to sometimes start out a brief though instant message style or over chat without using capitals or periods, its just a casual chat thing, and sometimes I even put a period at the end and start a proper sentence as I form my thoughts. Seriously though, the "Shift key" isnt that hard to reach, dont be lazy.
Second "overall." isnt a complete thought. Sentences are complete thoughts so you meant to use a comma after that which is great cause then you dont need to capitalized the next word.
Third, if you dont care how sloppy and shitty looking the crap you diarrhea dump on to the forums looks, why should people bother reading it. Take a look around the forums, plenty of people use proper sentence structure, capital letters, and grammar. Its not a life style choice, its basic competence.
Proper use of the written word for communication much like pulling your pants down before you poo, its not a skipable EXTRA step in the process if your feeling lazy, its how its supposed to be done if you dont want to look like an idiot.
Now, for your really ... "uneducated"... opinions on Yi... read some patch notes, try to observe that if he has to do something to mitigate the nerf... it is by definition having some affect upon him, and therefore cannot be meaningless.
I hope Iv improved your life your understanding of communication.
(the more you know star flies by, music plays)
EDIT: Downvoted by angry people who take offense that I insinuate that they are either lazy or dumb because they dont capitalize words themselves, funny really, some day an employer will look at your Facebook page and see all lowercase writing and deiced youre lazy too.
Complete lack of apostrophes, poorly placed and inconsistent ellipses, several misspellings of basic words.
[zombie-nunu-bummed]
I hate how people think that by pointing out grammar mistakes, they completely invalidate someone's argument. As long as you get the message it shouldn't matter.
Besides that, you have several errors in your own post.
yet
can still build 2 damage items and tank afterwards and solo baron still.. yay for riots balance system!
Lots of champs can solo baron...doesn't mean they are not balanced rofl.
I wouldn't consider aatrox or mordekaiser broken
Xin doesn't have true damage. Xin at 6 items isn't 1v5ing teams half as easily as someone like Yi or Fiora...
I'm just surprised they hard nerf champions that are literally unplayable in competitive play. I am also surprised people compare yi to fiora when one is a huge competitive pick and one is quite unusable.
Because the game has a large playerbase outside of competitive, one that provides the vast, vast majority of their income? Sure, sometimes it seems like they're pretty insensitive to what goes on outside of LCS, when something becomes too popular and strong consistently, it generally gets nerfed, competitive or not.
All they changed was Titanic. Last I checked Yi got a flat buff this latest patch.
nah. They made his E scale with BONUS AD not TOTAL (meaning his base AD and the AD from Sterak's doesn't affect it). This means that Yi that builds damage has no change, but as someone above me has said he needs to hit 245 bonus AD to break even at level 9 with the old Yi's true damage from bases and tank builds. The Yi "nerf" was that he now has to actually BUILD damage to deal extra true damage with E, as they've nerfed the ability for him to scale it with base AD. This in combination with titanic losing AD makes the tank Yi build much less appealing, since Sterak's no longer helps you scale.
