and then Draven just attacked one more time and they were dead anyways.

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with this game. It's just which ADC oneshots the other adc first. Draven with his Q or Vayne with a 1k tumble-crit?

I don't really get to "support" my team. I'm either on the side that's already obliberating them, so my help is absolutely unneeded - or the side that is getting obliberated, and in that case as a Soraka you can't do much either.

Then I considered playing tanks, but the tradeoff ain't cutting it for two more seconds of survivability.

Damage Creep needs to be adressed, this is getting insane.

its the same shit for every role.

there really isnt much thought process being put into fights anymore.

whoever gets caught first will usually lose the game for their team.

Yeah but the problem comes out the hardest with adcs. I doubt that tank damage is high on the list of current problems...

Riot doesn't consider Cho'gath a tank, they want him as an AP Juggernaut, a class that is supposed to have inherently high damage.

Stoneplate-ult is stupid and should be removed, but otherwise they still want him to have high damage output.

Aren't Juggernauts supposed to have very little in the ways of cc? Cho has a slow, knockup, and silence in his kit.

Cho is not directly a Juggernaut. Even in that Meddler quote flying around here, they say that they want him to have a more Juggernaut-like damage profile. They never said he was to be a Juggernaut.

It's interesting how everyone is quick to point out their own clear, expected weaknesses of juggernauts. Other class categories don't have broad automatically assumed weaknesses.

Umm, yes they do? They're just more well-known so people don't feel the need to point them out. "Juggernauts aren't supposed to have CC" is inherently no different to "ADCs aren't supposed to be tanky".

Which is also more or less melee range. And deals high dmg only if he has 10+ stacks. Yes you cant really stop him from stacking, but you can delay him. Also his true dmg is flat. So tanks can still stay close to him to cc him unlike some others cough cough , cough cough . Oh sorry about that my throat lately has deteriorated to a horrible state.

Other bursty classes are only bursty though, and generally the damage is avoidable because they're skillshots or something. It's an issue with ADCs because their DPS can become ridiculously massive that it just becomes burst damage simply because it's huge and fast, and on top of that it's point-and-click damage that's unavoidable in most situations because auto-attacks can't miss and has no built-in downtime.

So I'll give you some tips- I'm not trying to suggest Draven isn't problematic right now- these're just things you can do to win =)

First, I don't play much Raka, but I've played her into Draven, and it's a bad match up. Draven's weak to CC, and your E is easy to dodge and puts you at risk to attempt it (with your small but highly valuable health pool!). The best into Draven are the tanks (not because of suvivability alone- but their easily cast CC means he loses his main damage from his axes) followed by AP-capable supports, who can one-shot him faster if he becomes a problem.

There is little funnier than a salty, fed Draven, complaining the support Sona keeps one-shotting him.

I simply love playing draven into a soraka or sona. Just so easy to kill, it's mind blowing. Anything with cc cucks draven to the extreme. Stopping him from picking up his axes, is simply the best way to murder his dps.

He should because that's the entire point of a team-wide heal that's 150% effective on lower health targets. That's also his level 6 ultimate ability power-spike.

Or more importantly it's the fact that whichever team picks a better ADC or is better at the role will autowin regardless of the other 8 people in the game. And if Draven's left up he'll just solo carry off of fair and balanced damage numbers. Supports don't feel impactful and often aren't past a certain point because they can't protect the carry they're told to protect from things like this.

Don't forget that Soraka is a variable in this argument. Soraka is garbage tier at protecting her team when you compare her to someone like Janna. Perhaps Soraka might need a change or two?

Something like mana restoring or armor buffs to allys, maybe evem mr debufing because riot took those away from her so that she became a heal bot with nothing else to offer besides heals just so riot could make GW items cheaper.

But she is nowhere near being garbage tier at protecting her team. Very wonderful enchantress in the proper matchups.

It drives me BANANAS!!!! when their whole team dives me or the ADC and I can't just tornado or ult them away. Only thing you can do is throw your silence circle down and pray (Late game). I do appreciate the circle of silence if they have a Katarina on the other team though. AND I do appreciate early game global healing.

Well... Braum is free. his E is a shield that intercepts projectiles, even if they aren't targeted towards you, meaning you can block Draven AA's, his ult, even entire MissFortune ult's. so you can work with that, I guess. and his E give dmg reduction, so you wont get 1 shot

Soraka is a beast, better than Draven or Vayne. Sometimes enemy team is ahead and like you say you cant do much. But you scale so try n do that.

ya damage is just insane, ive been killed and ive killed people in the blink of an eye. i wonder when the meta will shift and everyone will start hate being 1 shot an just start building tank items to be more durable cause you know you do 0 damage if you dead. i mean you can on most adcs build like 3 offensive items then get a visage/randys/frozen mallet or something that makes you pretty duriable to kill and stiill put out alot of damage.

Vayne item 3031 item 3087 item 3153 item 3065 item 3006 item 3143 Imagine how hard she would be to kill if she had a decent support.

Doesn't look like her damage is going to be that high. It's going to be medicore in my opinion. Killing her would be annoying, but I simply wouldn't worry about vayne with those items.

Well there's Sona and Vayne combo, Sona can stun Draven while Vayne kills him; however, that's only if 3 people aren't attached to him.

Your ADC shouldn't get in Draven's range in a teamfight ( I assume it was late-game since you talk about Vayne 1k crits) and if he is able to just walk through your frontilne then the game is not to blame ;)

You really do need cc (enchanters) to be a big factor in the game. ADCs have enough tools to heal themselves that they just need 1s of cc to kill someone else.

Take my advice, and this advice will work regardless of what season it is.

When you play support, play either Zyra or

By doing this you can guarantee that at least one carry will leave bot lane. Go full magic penn on runes and rush item 3098 then item 3020 . Sightstone is optional and always get item 3151 and item 3116 in whatever order.

By doing this I managed to have a 66% winrate on zyra over 300 games in high plat/ low diamond, and I didn't build sightstone on her at all.

Play for yourself and don't trust a variable to carry.

Bad solution. Most people go to the support role because they don't want to play mages or carry-champions. I'm sure this is a valid and fun strat and all, but it just doesn't appeal to a lot of support players.

err... no this is the only viable strat to consistently carry your teammates. I don't do this because I don't like the support role or I want to have fun, I play this because its the only way to guarantee a victory when you are playing a role with little to no impact.
