Master Yi and Yasuo are victims of low elo fatigue.

Master Yi and Yasuo have a 52% winrate and over 10% player in both Bronze and Silver, but hovering ~48% in Diamond or higher.

Because of all the complaining that low elo players do, these champions are endlessly nerfed, and can never be seen in the higher elos, or in a competitive setting.

Sure there are times when they would be viable in one or two patches (i.e. when Master Yi/Taric funneling was meta, or when Yasuo's crit items were overpowered for a couple of patches), but those are very few and far between.

In general, these champions will always be good in low elo, which stops any sort of real buffs to these champions, in order to satisfy the majority player base.

But you have to remember that there are Yasuo and Master Yi players out there who actually want to strive for Challenger with the champions they enjoy playing (see Yassuo and Cowsep), and shouldn't have to be stopped simply because some bronze players that don't know how to handle them.

So, here's my unpopular opinion, what are you thoughts? Should we balance Master Yi and Yasuo around the majority player base or the competitive scene?

Yasuo can stay unbuffed, thanks.

MasterYi is mainly in need of a rework to be a viable champion.

They've both seen their fair share of buffs this year.

Just rework them both.

Master yi in general needs a rework because he is counter picked rather than counterplayed. 100% point and click, one spell to skill express which is more decision making (a universal skill rather than a yi only skill) than mastering a mechanic of his insta cast point+click Q. He deserves to be weak because of the nature of his kit. There's simply no way for him to be viable while also being healthy.

Yasuo isn't that amazing in low elo. He's just a pain in the ass that I'd rather do without. Most people lose because they simply can't be fucked with this champion and start tilting the moment they see him picked (because their ban slot was likely Fizz orLeblanc . His stupidly forgiving, hand holding kit is objectively unfun to deal with. The shield no other champ gets, the WW, the R turret safety, how he insta wins against any melee once he gets item 3046 and his situationally point and click ultimate (E+Q+R)

But you have to remember that there are Yasuo and Master Yi players out there who actually want to strive for Challenger with the champions they enjoy playing (see Yassuo and Cowsep), and shouldn't have to be stopped simply because some bronze players that don't know how to handle them.

In cowseps case perhaps don't fall in love with a champ with a rock bottom skill floor and ceiling (most of his skill is general game knowledge and decision making). Since yi is so inflexible in his play, he becomes less and less viable the higher up you go (unlike generalists like yasuo). Then bring in his dependence on items (item 3124 item 3153 ), his unhealthy kit and his win condition being out-stat-check everyone and it's no surprise he may struggle. yas still had a solid win rate in high elo so idk where you're going there.

As for "shouldn't have to be stopped simply because some bronze players that don't know how to handle them". It is up to them to make their champs work. They shouldn't solely get special treatment just so they should see success. They r in a 1:9,0000,0000 ratio of them:other players.

And if they should get special treatment, where's the special treatment for: Ivern Skarner RekSai Corki KogMaw Shyvana Volibear Karma
