Nexus Blitz thoughts

I'm not one to make lengthy posts, but I figured I'd share my current thoughts on nexus blitz.

Personally, after a couple games of it, I'm not a fan. At this point I'd rather play ARAM if i wanted to just do a brawl. There are a couple reasons, and this is just my opinion so its not like its some objective truth.

First off, I think there are too many random objectives. if you look at twisted treeline, you had 2 non-jungle/tower objectives: the altars. They were visible from the start of the game, and the game would tell you when they become available. Or when you see the active counter to summon the poro king. Even the rotating game modes with alternate objectives make those objectives clear. It turns nexus blitz, which i thought was supposed to be a compact more carnage filled SR game, into ''chase the objective''. I would like maybe a few randomly selected objectives that are indicated on the map before hand. like ''king of the hill'' objectives could act like Skarner spires in that area, but would only be available to capture at a certain time. It could also apply a buff to minions in a lane it spawned in. That would draw people to fight over the objective as intended, without changing the ''seige these towers'' objective. But hey, thats just me.

It also felt like the map size was a little small in the jungle. you're either in your jungle by turret, in their jungle dying to their turret, or fighting over a buff. I don't think the layout is bad per say, but it felt like once those buffs were gone, you may as well just be playing in a lane. And since now it's supposed to be dual jungle, it makes being there feel even more useless. I had far more fun in lane than in the jg.

lastly, to some extent, the jg layout does make using item 4001 a bit less fun, considering they were my favorite item when they were first featured. Though you could say it was necessary to balance them.

I'm not entirely against the idea of fast action packed games, but I feel like how it was released was a little overpacked. I find in it's current state, I have less desire to play it again than I have for any rotating game mode or even old dominion.

Just to be clear, I'm not giving negative feedback to say it's a bad gamemode or that it should be removed, I just thought I'd share my thoughts. I hope people will share what they do and don't like about the gamemode so that riot can hopefully make it better than it is without removing the features people actually do like.

I'm eager to see how this gamemode turns out*[slayer-pantheon-popcorn]*
