Open Spellbook Blitzcrank

So I preface this by saying I am by no means a pro player. But I've been trying out open spellbook blitzcrank.

My general thought process was that blitz doesn't heavily benefit from any other rune tree. Precision is mostly about longer fights, which doesn't serve blitz because his job is mostly to get picks. Domination could work, but the longer the game goes on it turns into "if you get hooked you die" whether you're running Domination or not. Sorcery's main keystones are Phase rush, Comet and Summon aery. Phase isn't particularly useful for the same reason precision isn't. You land your combo and can't do anything till its off CD, so move speed doesn't really help. Comet doesn't help because if you land a hook it will send the comet to where they were before they were pulled. Summon aery is good on paper, but you usually end up landing an ability before you take damage, meaning the shield buff doesn't really come up. In that case it's just a damage buff, and would be out-scaled by the domination tree. Finally, you have the resolve tree. I suppose you could run aftershock, but again thats just more damage. The bonus to defensive stats can be good, but anything in your range is getting hit by a ton of CC, so they should be dead before they can actually hit you back.

By using the inspiration tree, specifically open spellbook, you don't lose much in terms of how blitz function. But you do gain the ability to support other lanes on short notice via TP, increased jungle presence via smite, slow+damage reduction via exhaust that can be used to get further ahead or help shut down a fed opponent, barrier to live longer when the enemy tries to kill you so that your team can have more time to kill them and giving you the chance at another cc combo, heal for similar reasons and saving your team. Etc.

Blitz is a support that capitalizes on opportunities with near-guaranteed picks, and open spellbook can give him more opportunities with minimal drawback.

If anyone has any downsides to running spellbook on blitz, or comments, I'd like to expand on this Idea. I think Its nice to have a thread in gameplay not complaining about balance.
