Seriously the only counterplay is "dont go near him". Meanwhile he has an almost global ult and can be anywhere on the map.
Edit: Ok i just bought Panteon and picked SUPPORT and went 12/4/6. Pantheon needs a rework
62021319DEL13 votesAs much as I hate the bastard he is easy to handle after the first 16 minutes or so but that's if he isn't already snowballing hard at that point. If he is already 8/0/0 from all the sick point & click plays then your best bet is to outscale, however, if you don't have anybody on your team capable of such thing then you best strap on your seatbelt because it's gonna be a rough ride, but that's heavily dependent on what role you're playing along with the champ. A few matchups I can think where he struggles with consist of tanks(
) ,the few manaless top laners(
)
And from personal experience 
this guy right here makes a Pantheon hate life.
