What happens when attacking champion has more armor/magic penetration than armor/magic resist that defending target has? Are those extra stats wasted? If not, what is the calculation when it comes to that scenario?

Phil Fly2 votesThey are wasted yeah. But hey, just look at it like you're doing true damage to them, and you won't care about the few wasted points of penetration.

Goosetard2 votesI believe it actually amplifies your damage. You can test this pretty easily on jungle creeps since they have no MR, so queue up, whack something, go back and buy sorc boots, and whack again.
