ah that reminds me when ADC's were reworked, you saw 4/5 ADC's per team and rammus and malphite had a high win rate cuz no duh 4/5 ADC's per team, what did riot do? nerf them. cuz fuck tanks tanking ADC's damage

The near full ad team (ignoring most of Corki's damage is actually magic) is easily winning against a Malphite Top and Rammus jungle.

Although there are probably more factors here, like Soraka keeping them alive even though Thornmail exists, no assassin to punish the no tank comp, and when Karthus ults, Soraka does means he's useless.

Honestly none of the full ad team is heavy aa based even corki. Seems like every lane was won by the ad team too.

Apparently Rammus is WR is supposed to go up by 20% per AD champ on the enemy team, simply by being picked.

i can understand it going up by 20% per adc/stuff like yi but just ad? nah, even jhin can deal with him fairly well (with a team ofc).

Is that really what this is about? Corki is one of the best champions to deal with armor-stacking tanks.

Melledoneus2 votes

Actually, that would be Vayne.

JJI7443 votes

Questionable. The considerable majority of Vayne's damage is physical, not true. Plus stuff like ninja tabi and Randuin's passive (the crit reduction and AS slow) tend to have less impact vs. Corki since he gets a lot of his damage from abilities+Trinity procs.

However, armor-stacking tanks can also stack HP and render Corki's burst-like damage patterns less effective.

Meanwhile Vayne's W has no counter items.

So it's a close contest.

I could have sworn I hit reply to this earlier. Corki tends to open with burst, but has more consistant non-physical damage than most champions in the game.

And Vayne's true damage output is usually overestimated. Its 12% per 3 shots, even on a target with 4k HP that still only comes out to ~130 per shot. In anything but the extream cases, vayne is going to do more physical damage per shot than true.

So AD is broken because Corki can do magic damage and the tanks forgot to buy MR? Am I missing something?

Jaspers1 votes

Not at all. I was trying to indicate what point I presume the OP was making but citing examples of why the blue team won regardless. Rammus has no MR, besides runes if he has any, and base MR at 14 which is not even 50. Minus 15 because of Corki boots and a 500 damage crit from Corki does 400 magic damage. That'll hurt, Ninja Tabi's or not.

I was referring to OP as well. I think you have the right idea here

Bruh just dodge the autoattacks

What's the most concerning part about this is that the Mortal Reminder user is the one who died. The Talon's Lord Dominik's Regard is a pretty strong counter to how multiple of your team was built. Soraka definitely helped being able to heal her entire team with Ardent Censer giving them all sustain through their damage. Corki deals 50% of his damage as magic damage for his auto-attacks. Lee and Corki had MR, so that reduces your thornmail dps on both users. You had 3 tanks and 2 dps, which means basically once those two go down to Lee/Talon combo assassinations it's probably just whittling and wiping the tanks.

For all the Armor, more health was going to be the key, but also DPS is designed to always outdo durability. (Both together work best.) So in a raw stat-check, that's too much dps to really out-do. (Especially when two of those are bruiser builds.)

Here's the big problem: For having Soraka, no Grievous Wounds except through Bramble Vest/Thornmail. If they don't hit those, they don't get the application. Builds reflect combative sustain. No Morello's on Karthus and no Mortal Reminder on Jhin. With their durability itemization, they will outsustain anything you throw at them, except by fluke.
