What's the point of playing tanks when Kayn has an aoe knockup?

Wanna burst squishies? Play Kayn. Wanna burst tanks? Play Kayn. Need hard cc? Yea got that too. Want tons of mobility? Need good waveclear in the jg? Got that too. Want healing? Oh yea we got that too. And he functions great as a bruiser as well. No need to go full glass cannon even though you're playing a SQUISHY ASSASSIN. There's literally no point in playing a true tank (or any other bruiser) when this champ exists.

Because a single knockup on one ability that you only get in mid-game makes you significantly inferior to a tank in terms of CC?

No not really. Tanks don't get to incorporate much cdr into their kits so they don't actually get to use their cc very often. I forget how long but Malphite's ult has a pretty long cooldown. The cooldown on Kayn's knockup is NOTHING compared to Maphite's cooldowns. And let's not forget all tanks are wet noodles, unlike assassins who never fail to burst.

???

Most tanks get at least 30% CDR easily.

That's still not max cdr.

You said they don't get to incorporate MUCH CDR.

30% is a large amount. Not max, sure, but it's hardly nothing.
