Cho'Gath Buff Makes Me Excited

Feast (R) !

"Ravenously feed on an enemy, dealing 300/475/650 (+0.7) true damage to champions or 1000/1000/1000 (+0.7) to minions and monsters. If the target is killed, Cho'Gath gains a stack of Feast, which causes him to grow in size and gain 100/140/180 maximum health.

Stacks beyond 6 can only be gained from enemy champions and have diminishing returns."

That's INTERESTING!

LOL WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS

no longer refunds half of cd on minion no longer gives 2 stacks on champ kill no longer heals if cho has 6 stacks no longer lose stacks on death

all of this for infinity hp

no just no, as a cho main (i dare say) no this is just boring and uninteresting

What is currently fun and interesting about chos ult?

Team fight coming up save ult.

No team fight coming up use ult on nearest monster

Those are LITERALLY the only 2 decisions a cho has to make right now.

i didn't say current ulti is good

i said NEXT ULTI isn't good too

well the bare minimum it will take without cdr is 4mins extra after level 6 to get the same amount of stacks as you would on live. 2.4 extra minutes with full cdr. You are forgetting that on live you get 2 stacks for champion kill. So essentially that healing is cut in half at the minimum. With it stating diminishing returns you'll be getting even less

no longer refunds half of cd on minion

Yes, there must be costs for infinite HP.

no longer gives 2 stacks on champ kill

^^^

no longer heals if cho has 6 stacks

He is getting stacks instead, meaning more max HP.

no longer lose stacks on death

This is actually really good for gameplay health! This means Cho'Gath is less feast or famine in a very literal sense, making him much easier to balance overall.

He can become the Godzilla he was supposed to be. Really excited about this one. Plus its a pretty sizeable buff if you get ahead to stay ahead.

I hope it turns out to be a big deal, but I suspect it will really bite.

Where is it? I must see for myself. Diminishing returns makes me a bit wary.

This is a bad change for many reasons.

It punishs you early mid if you snowball due to less stacks from champs = less hp. Punishes jungle cho or objective control due to slower clears and the cost for using ulti on jungle or in tfs. Its a slight help if your losing and dying in lane. But how can you eat minions for stacks in lane with a 80sec cd and not be punished because of no cd or mana refund? You'll get less gold from not being able to take camps as much out of lane. In a fight its a nerf because the double stack healed you for 2 stacks, now only single stack.

Positive - it makes you tankier lategame in a meta where games don't last long and for a champion who falls off lategame.

People, people. You can stop freaking out. On Surrender at 20 you will see there is the word "Exploratory" that links you to a Rioter Twitter post saying "Exploratory Cho'Gath changes on PBE." For those freaking out, exploratory means experimental. Experimental means they are trying new things to see how it does. This is not a remotely finalized change, it's a test.

I like this. Makes me want to go back and try Cho'gath. It's been a while since I played him.

Cho'gath is my second highest mastery champ, and its safe to say he needed those buffs, he was pretty much only good into assassins, even then he would sometimes lose lane and do minimal damage until he gets a few items.

Everything I can say about it. If you are playing cho and you have usefull jungler with early gank. You have 100% winrate on top lane. Played against it 14 times and all losses. If you want to keep that mechanic let´s be honest it needs nerf. Even an early aggresive moves cant do something against his sustane. item 3070 item 3070 item 3070
