URF is not fun

I've played this mode many times, and played it last year. This year it just isn't fun.

Yeah, maybe on a full moon people agree not to be complete dipshits (sorry, if you take something like Zed or Sona in URF I have nothing but contempt for you, and I'm pretty sure I'd spit on your face if I had the chance) and not take all the OP champs who escaped banning phase, it's fun. When people aren't being massive tryhards it's fun.

HOWEVER, most of the time this isn't the case. It's almost impossible to properly test something you don't know how powerful it'll be because there's always some jackass spamming Sona/Nidalee/Zed/Jayce/whatever the hell kids play to get a quick win and little more who makes everyone's life hell but them.

The most boring games are the ones when there's a BS URFer like Vlad or Jayce in both teams. Then it's pretty much a 1vs1, and everyone else might as well be minions.

I keep thinking URF would be tons of fun if it was on Summoner's Rift, but the champions were randomly attributed. I didn't come to a "fun" Special Gameplay Mode just to see what I usually see in Draft. The same 20 champions being spammed time and time again.

the point of urf isint to play new champions, or learn new stratagies, its to play a fun champ with spammy skills

Urf was fun, then it got boring

I enjoyed it until I no longer enjoyed it

If it's not fun don't play it. I think it's fun.

the urf is a fine concept

but the playerbase adjusted and every game you see only champions who scale with urf the hardest, this is antifun for anyone who wants to test new champions and stuff

urf isnt fun becuase poeple dont allow it to be fun anymore, they cling to most toxic stuff there is to be found there thus nobody besides them will get the fun

My wife considers herself a Sona main. Do you really have something against her wanting to take her main on URF on the one game it's not banned?

Yes. Yes I have. Main or no main, she's willingly making most of the enemy's experience miserable. So yeah, i have a problem with someone being that selfish just because she doesn't know the people on the enemy team

Wanting to play your main in a Featured Mode is "knowingly making the enemy miserable"? What a stick in the mud you are...

What? You're asking your opponents to not take their very best chance of winning, and they're the selfish ones for not doing it?

Yea you complaining about a game mode you don't have to play is completely superficial, but youre reason of why you want to complain is because people developed a meta for it? People tested these champions and found these are the most optimal meta picks for it. It's no different from vanilla SR--its the meta. I've had no problem testing out what i want when i want. Like DWT pointed out the point of the game mode is to play spammy champions.

You either don't have access to these top meta picks, or you simply lose too much regardless. Either way there are many more people that disagree with you and find urf incredibly fun no matter what champions are spammed. If you can't handle it, you HAVE other options. More URF for us

The "optimal" way of playing should only matter on a competitive scale. By that logic, the kid who plays soccer so-so should never play ever if there's kids on the playground who play better than him (Kindergarden). It's not supposed to be a competitive experience, it's supposed to be fun. If you go to URF with the mentality of "I wanna win this at all costs" or "My laughs come at the expense of 3+ people on the enemy team" instead of "I wanna have fun" you're missing the entire point of URF

You're missing the point that it IS fun. It is fun for very many other people, and just because it isn't fun for you does not in any way equate to it not being fun at all for anyone else. It's a shame that youre seeing it in a way that makes it not fun for you. The rest of us will continue to enjoy it.

Fiora breaks URF as soon as she gets hydra, but people don't know this.

Just saying.

If you're complaining you should leave, People enjoy the gamemode, they can actually take a break from Normal, and actually have fun for once instead of playing normals. I know it's maybe your opinion, but don't ruin the fun for others, just play Normal if you don't wanna get involved in Urf.

I wholeheartedly agree dude. I figured enabling every champion with slight nerfs would make URF more unique and interesting.

Guess I couldn't have been more wrong. Zed Vladimir MonkeyKing
