Riot, when will you stop blatantly favoriting LCSBIGPLAY$ champions and give other champs love?

Vayne has been a dominant pick since the tank meta with a 40%~ pickrate and 53%~ winrate

-3 ad

Veigar has been a decent pick for 2 weeks

-20% AP Scaling on W, -20 base damage on W at all ranks

Riven was reworked on the PBE

A small number of people QQ'd and it was reverted.

Morde was terribly reworked

Nearly the entire community is in an uproar, and instead of reverting it, you continue to fuck him up.

"We nerfed Azir because a lot of the community doesn't know how to play him"

"We buffed Lee Sin because a lot of the community doesn't know how to play him"

When are you going to stop playing this blatant favoritism with champions? It's actually insanely obvious and yet you still continue to INSIST that you don't do it. This is why soloq and ranked are so fucked up and unbalanced, you continue to leave completely overloaded and overpicked champions alone while champions with a small fanbase are left to rot when they see ANY sort of competitive play. We're forced to pick these asinine champions in ranked just to climb because nothing can compete with them. Nothing. And I'm getting tired of being FORCED to play a champion just to win. Fix your shit Riot. Stop focusing on the LC$ and start focusing on the other 99.999998% of your community.

At Worlds this year, in the group stages...

  • Vayne has been played 6 times, banned once, and has a 33% win rate.
  • Veigar has been played 4 times, banned 7 times, and has a 25% win rate.
  • Riven has been played 4 times, never been banned, and has a 50% win rate.
  • Morde has been played 4 times, banned 44 times (Second-highest), and has a 100% win rate.
  • Azir has been picked 11 times (tied for 'most-picked mid'), banned 21 times (Third most banned mid-laner), and has a 55% win rate.
  • Lee Sin has been picked 14 times, banned 9 times, and has a 50% win rate.

Conclusions we can draw:

  • Vayne is good in solo queue but isn't anything special on the competitive scene.
  • Veigar was somewhat feared by professional players but easily shut down by prepared teams.
  • Riven is like Vayne, good in solo queue, nothing special competitively. She just has a huge, dedicated fan base.
  • Morde has issues. Hooooly crap. He's gone from being seen in competitive play once in 4-5 years pre-rework to having the second-highest participation rate (picks + bans) at Worlds.
  • Azir is a menace in competitive play.
  • Lee Sin is good but not great, and tends to be used most when stronger junglers are banned.
  • LC$BIGPLAY$ doesn't seem to affect their balance decisions much at all.

Conclusions we can draw: Not enough sample size to draw any conclusion, for example error bars (uncertainty) on that veigar winrate is about the size of the winrate bar itself :P

Do you live in a world where Azir isn't an LCS BIG PLAYS champion?

Mundo, the very opposite of an LCS BIG PLAYS champion just finally got some damage that scales off his health in his kit.

Stfu (shut the fuck up), tbh (to be honest) fam (family) lmao (laugh my ass off).

I use to think it was just circlejerk, but it's painfully obvious now with that Veigar change.

Oh well, riot will be riot. the morde threads are literallly flooding and not one word has been said

It's sad to see. This is what will cause Riot to go out of business.

Funny how none of the "LCS big plays" champions you mention in your post is particularily dominant in the World Tournament. Inmobile mid mages have been the norm, Such as Ryze, Viktor, Twisted Fate and other multitude of picks, Much highly favored over their flashier counterparts such as Leblanc, who has seen little play (Even farm fest wait-till-I-scale Anivia with Tear and RoA). Junglers aren't really all that flashy other than the occasional Lee Sin, and champions such as Gragas and Elise are valued way higher in the pro scene... Vayne isn't picked frequently or is even successful compared to Jinx (Inmobile adc who just happens to have everything else she needs in her kit other than reliable self peel) and Tristana, tower pushing and self peel monster. Support picks usually revolve around Tahm Kench, Morgana, Braum, Alistar and Thresh. Only Thresh has been labeled as an "LCS big plays" champion by the majority of the comunity. Azir... Repeatedly nerfed, I don't get how you can call favoritism on that one. Zed and Riven, two of the most hated on champions because of riot's supposed favoritism are not priority picks either. Mid lane being dominated by champions Zed counters during laning phase doesn't seem enough a reason to pick him... does that tell something to you? Riven has seen little play other than very situational picks, and most of the time she wasn't even a big factor other than the game Huni picked her. Variety has been greater than other years and there's no real advantages flashier champions have over their more "boring" counterparts and in fact these simpler champions are seeing more play than the champions you cry about.

TL,DR: LCS big plays champions don't have any advantages and OP just wants to cry when inmobile mages and AD carries have seen more spotlight than ever, and Assassins are weaker than any other previous seasons.

I feel like pointing out that the reason they don't want Veigar around is because his kit really isn't healthy. He's like Nasus except that he has an incredibly safe laning phase, and is actually useful lategame. He's a champion who should theoretically have a weak earlygame, who just doesn't.

And his ult is one of the most poorly designed abilities in the game.

We need a statement about Morde. An honest one. Otherwise flame on
