People hate Lux because of her safety and reliability. They hate that she can go even in pretty much any lane, farm it out, and then just group up with her team and have a 30s, 1000 damage laser + a (very) long range Q every 6s that could potentially mean killing one of your squishies.

I used to be a Lux main, so I understand her a bit better than most of the people on the boards. To be honest, she is a little overtuned, at least for an AP mid. Support Lux is kind of annoying for about 5 minutes, then she turns into a subpar, utility-oriented, control mage. If you start dying to her ult though, she could work up enough damage to be a relevant threat in the mid-game. As an AP mid, she has a very blue-reliant but safe laning phase. Unless she's bad or playing aggressively, it's really hard to gank her and even harder to solo kill her. She has a pretty annoying poke-burst laning pattern, but it's possible to work around her if you're playing a control mage who's...control-ier mage with better wave clear (read: Ziggs, Viktor, Azir, Lulu). If you get good roams off, it's hard for her to match your roams without risking facechecking your jungler. If you get bad roams, she picks up free double kills from halfway down the river.

All said and done, though, Lux's late game scaling depends heavily on getting picks with her standard QERE combo. If you're rotating properly as 5 and getting vision in chokes and flanks before you fight + you have a half-decent frontline + your ADC gets any semblance of lifesteal, Lux quickly becomes irrelevant past 35 minutes.

She can blow you up from half a screen away without endangering herself and is stupidly bursty for a utility mage.

yes but she is also immobile and mana hungry early game, not to mention that most assassins can deal with her. If a mage was chosen to be cancer, wouldnt Azir or Malzahar be better choices? I guess what im tryin to say here is that idk why Lux is getting called out when there are worse mages to be mad about.

EDIT: just checked the win rates, even though hers is high, there are 4 other mages with higher Win Rates then her. ( Ahri Heimerdinger Malzahar ) but the OP doesnt seem to care about that, he just jumps on Lux.

Lux's winrate is now the highest of any mage in Plat+ elo. He's (albeit barely) Plat.
He hates Ahri anyways but since Riot doesn't want to nerf her he isn't bothering.
Heimerdinger, Brand, and Malzahar are all either solo queue stompers who are extremely situational or just can't work outside of solo queue, so they're left untouched.

I'm not playing ranked until all of the broken champs get toned down lol. And are you referring to me hating on Ahri? Most of the time I mention her being OP I'm just joking. I couldn't care less about Ahri's balance tbh and don't care whether she gets nerfed or not lol.

um...Zyra is only getting a plant AI fix so far....calm down....and .5 seconds on her knock up...like i said...calm down lol I main Zyra and that wont even scratch the surface of what she needs and she will be far from her hotfix release XD
