Genuinely curious about this. Had a game with 2 people death threatening each other (one intentionally feeding and flaming everyone) and I want to know how long it would take for them to be banned (I want to track them to see if Riot's system bans them).

Eunson1 votesUsually it's a 10 game chat ban. 25 game chat ban. 2 week suspension, followed by a permanent ban.

KillerPenguins1 votesBasically it depends how many people report them and how strong those people's reports are. Premade reports someone who hasn't done anything, probably won't get that person banned.. 9 solos report someone making death threats? that dude's getting banned pretty quick.
Oleandervine1 votesWell, it usually takes being reported consistently for the same offense over several games to be banned. So if you were the first to report them, then it will be a while and you probably won't ever be notified if they get punished. You usually only get the "your efforts punished a player" notification when your report was the final nail in the coffin. Alternatively, if their actions were particularly horrible, you can submit a support ticket to Riot telling them the players specifically and they may manually investigate, rather than leave it up to the automatic system.

archerno11 votesWell if its your report that triggers a ban, then instantly after game. If person isnt banned, then he wont be from your report. Maybe sometime in the future.

Then he got chat restricted. Instant ban is only , ONLY for extreme hate speech.
General Esdeath 1 votesI mean, I think death threats are worse but he did use a form of hate speech. Kept calling the other guy "%%%got" so I guess it was technically.
