After getting the basic runes

It takes about 8 games to get one advanced rune It takes about 20 games to get one quint of an advanced rune It takes more than 60 games to get a full rune page, these games can last from 20 minutes to 80 minutes (My personal longest game)

How is this at all productive? I want my 0.5% scaling HP runes with my 1.5% scaling HP quints, and I want it now!

there are a lot of expensive runes that are worth saving up for. the % max hp ones are not worth it. I bought them back around when cinderhulk was a thing and not only do they not interact with cinderhulk like regular scaling health does....but they aren't better than scaling health until around almost 5k health to 6k health. so basically unless you are a super late game sion or something....they aren't better. and even THEN they aren't that much better. only slightly.

the only advantage of them compared to scaling health is that they are actually decent early. they arent better than flat health early, but they aren't borderline non existent level 1 like scaling health. with one or two items however, they are already noticeably outscaled by scaling health.

the runes in my experience that are situationally worth having that are expensive that aren't "standard" are:

-Hybrid Pen Reds -Magic Pen Blues (not as bad as you'd think on certain champions) -Movement Speed Quints -Life Steal Quints (still viable) -Crit % Reds (not used too often, but situationally ok) -Scaling CDR Blues

and there are others that I use situationally if I'm making a funky page and am feeling aggressive with my page. Like AD yellows, attack speed blues, flat armor quints, flat MR quints, armor reds, etc. I generally don't run FULL ad yellows or FULL armor blues/attack speed blues, but there are lot of creative ways you can use 1 or 2 or these in certain spots. like a lot of ADCs run 3 attack speed blues and 6 MR blues.
