Someone do the math on Allstars

someone add up the amount of time the announcers and analysts spent talking about how broken Zoe is. Also add in the amount of time the players talked about how OP she is, or how they are gonna ban her, or why she needs to be banned, or any other applicable conversation.

I'd be curious to see the result, but I don't care enough to do the work myself, and I know there's people on these boards who love doing shit like this.

Probably won't matter though, Riot and all the Zoe fanboys/girls will still say she's fine, she's balanced, even though a myriad of professional league players/announcers/analysts just spent a good portion of a live League event talking about how she's cancer to play against and she does way too much damage. People who understand the game way more than anyone on these boards. Players who are way better than anyone on these boards. But who are they, am I right? What do they know...

It'd still be interesting to see the numbers, though, if anyone's got the time and energy to figure it out. Oh, and hang on to your findings... I'm sure the next 2 days will bring more footage.

If this were season 7 then Zoe would be overtuned. In the current meta she is fine. There is a laundry list of champs that have equal or higher damage combos with higher mobility/survivability.

Just because all other mages except Xerath are in the dumpster doesn't mean that because Zoe is actually on a level playing field that she is broken.

I'm gonna go ahead and take the opinion of professional challenger/master players and professional LOL analysts over your silver 3 opinion. I just have this weird feeling they have a better understanding of the game. Call it a hunch.

I'm going to go ahead and take the opinion that, your arrogant condescending attitude aside, you will never be playing at a professional level. I just have this weird feeling that how a champion performs in the top levels of play will never, ever be a factor in your or 90% of all of the rest of League's games. Call it a hunch.

I never made that claim, and never would. Why do you insist on putting words in my mouth? My only claim is that pros know more about the game than you, or me, and you can watch the VODS yourself if you'd like to hear those players/casters/analysts talk at length about how the champion is broken.

I didn't say I'm a pro. I didn't say I want to be. I also said nothing condescending. I simply stated i'd value their opinion more than yours. If you're insecure about your rank, or have a problem with people valuing other opinions over yours, that's on you... not my problem.

What constitutes 'broken' in top levels of professional team play in the opinion of the best experts of the word has little to no bearing on the games that you, I and the vast majority of the community will play. Using this reasoning to justify the 'obvious' need for changes across the board makes no sense.

This isn't even taking into account that your sample size is miniscule, doesn't consist of any data from actual LCS games and is mired in the hype infested atmosphere of All Stars matchups.

Not to mention that she's among the worst performing mid lane champions across all divisions being outshined by the likes of Fiddlesticks and Swain.

I'm sorry but I will take hard data that comes directly from the games that I will definitely experience over off-hand opinions of professionals that have no bearing on my games whatsoever.

Seriously, can't even beat out Fiddlesticks mid and you're going to call her completely broken and in need of immediate nerfs?

I honestly wouldn't have the problems I have with her if you could CC her when she portals. That's honestly my biggest gripe.

That and her 10 year lightning fast AoE ground trap 2 part damage amplifying cc. Overloaded as hell.

Then you don't have a problem with her. She is not invuln when she portals, in fact one of her biggest weaknesses is that her portal is essentially a 1.5 second self root in which you have a guaranteed window to CC her.

Glad we could come to an agreement that she's fine. Good talk.

The biggest of facepalms to you, sir. Not even worth arguing with.

When Zoe is CC'd on the other side of her portal, she blinks back no matter what. CC'd or not. So if she pops over a wall to insta-nuke a champion with her ridiculous CC and burst damage, you can't stop her unless you kill her - but she's only there for a second, so that's pretty hard to do. Especially if its from over a wall in the fog of war and you're not expecting her to show up. I never said she's invulnerable, so I don't even know why that's part of your statement. You're just kinda making things up as you go, I guess. Not a great way to have an intelligent argument.

What I'm suggesting is something many, many people have suggested, and that is that silences, stuns, knockups, and knockbacks should cancel the return teleport (or at least prolong it), and CC her in the place she received the CC, not where her origin portal is. Similar to how if you CC leblanc when she blinks at you, she can't return to her original position until the CC wears off. Otherwise, you basically have 1 second to 100-0 her, otherwise one of your team mates is likely dead. I can't think of many champions in the game that are capable of that kind of damage in that short of a time frame, unless she's targeted by multiple people - but again... that's not very easy to coordinate if nobody's expecting her to pop over the wall in the first place.

If you're going to act like a toddler with things like "I'm glad we could come to an agreement, good talk," I won't be entertaining any further comments from you. Unless you're an actual toddler, in which case I commend your typing skill and sentence formation. Its quite impressive. But i'm fairly certain you're not a toddler.... so don't act like one.

Yet you felt compelled to continue arguing your point anyways.

Cute, but this completely contradicts your earlier statement about you not being condescending. Considering you can't even hold true to your own claims about your personal actions I'm going to go ahead and summarily dismiss the rest of your arguments as well especially as you haven't considered to apply the same logic to every other blink/dash that exists in the game. Hell, every single champion in the game can flash as a CC is landing and it will apply at the end of the flash and not before.

Ya if the announcers say it it must be true.

Check the game where they said she was broken. Player was 5 and 0 as zoe and barely had more damage than a 1 and 3 Varus.

Oh wait I forgot no one besides ADC is allowed to do damage.

The game they said she was broken...

You mean the "games" they said she was broken. And the player interviews. And the analyst desk. And the in between game conversations. And the Twitter feed from other pros. And the hundreds of posts on these very boards.

And in the game you're speaking of, the varus wouldn't have put up half the damage he did if Zoe wasn't putting champions to sleep every few seconds, allowing him free autos and skillshots.

vgamedude1 votes

The varus was on the other team genius. Now I know you didnt even watch it just wanted to come and sling trash.

Barkley1 votes

I did watch it, we seem to just be talking about different games. The game I'm referring to is game 1, NA vs Brazil.

Bjergsen as Zoe, Sneaky as Varus.

Ya not the game when all the announcers were sperging about Zoe because she did well against the almighty faker with loads of jungle help?
