Increase the gold of jungle items but make it so item 3706 item 3715 item 3711 refund you gold when you clear enough camps. such that you only pay for the value of the smite active (the only aspect of it that you can use on the battle field). the price ofitem 3706 stays the same. Lets be real the cost of going from item 1043 +item 3706 to item 1403 shouldn't be 450 gold. How can the stats devourer gives be worth 450 gold. Something is wrong here, you don't see this pattern anywhere else. too much of devourers full value is placed into its jungle stats as opposed to its usefulness vs champions and late game power. the same applies to the other jungle items. item 3706 + item 3133 + 525gold = item 1400. that 525 accounts for 35 ad a 1.2k gold value.

it could start at level 1. with eitheritem 1039 or item 1041, each refunding it cost after clearing say 5 camps. 10 camps for both.

Lane champions don't have to buy any item just to farm lane minions, why are junglers subject to this?

if your goal is to force junglers to afk farm early game was to delay the early game power / frequency of ganks, I can understand some (nothing worst than facing a shaco starting withitem 1055& summoner 14 ) , but as is its too much. If you must, make it so you get refunded the gold for the jungle stats after clearing 20 camps.

I had to learn that until I completed my jungle item I could not trade with anyone despite having scenarios I wish I could. Say my mid back I hold lane, the enemy midlaner makes a bad play that should be punished but I can't do anything because I'm sitting on useless stats. item 1039 item 1041. I'm tired of being laughed at as a jungler early game, please give us some respect/dignity back.

Right now junglers absolutely must complete their jungle item asap early game, delaying essential items like boots. this is what causes some junglers from not being as viable, like skarner for example. or even hecarim which would benefit a lot from getting boots early. Its also good if you're your team's front line and need to be able to plan how you wish to build.

Example Runic echoes is great on both skarner and hecarim, udyr etc. I'd like to buy in this order: item 3706 item 3113item 3006 (tier 2 boots of choice)item 3742 item 3190 item 3044 etc these junglers synergize well with runic echos. same for tank gragas with runic echoes. Let him decide when he wishes to complete runic echoes.

This is a great build on skarner: item 3071 item 3006 item 1402 item 3102 item 3512 item 3742 Currently I'm already obligated to get boots and jungle item early. this leaves me super squishy early game, my team expects a front line and I can't provide it. Sure you can say just build differently. But that leaves us with pretty bland build choices.

taxing in this game is not fun when it gets in the way of you trying to fulfil your role. another idea is to have tier 2 boots with just 45ms no additional stats that you have to sell if you want other boots. Its handy if you need the ms early to keep up with players with tier 2. You'll be set back a bit of gold for doing so but at least you can focus on completing items that help you perform your job. Could also upgrade them perhaps to say mercs, tabis etc for an addional fee, say 150 gold. a bit like when you want to switch from item 3706 item 3715 .

Another thing is as a jungle the option to switch between item 3706 item 3715 item 3711 , being able to sit on these items longer will give you time to decide which you'll need come the time to complete you're jungle item. Actually making the ability to switch be used. When's the last time anyone used that feature.

Also handy if you don't think you'll need merc treads much early game. Paying for tenacity upfront when most of the time you aren't team fighting may not be that alluring a buy.
Or say you're facing a low cc team that consists mostly of ap champs (vlad top corki mid, elise jungle), and don't need mercs. but getting tabis would be stupid since that armor wouldn't come in much use early.

the inverse applies as well, be it to get tank items first and damage later or damage item first and tank later. Sometime I want say cinderhulk but prefer completing triforce first. example Yorick jungle needs the utility that triforce has to offer. if he could sit on item 3078 item 3706 item 1001 then get item 3800 then finally complete item 1401 it would be so much better for him. Makes sense to get cinderhulk late too as it scales with hp.

A bit of balancing in the jungle would be nice but riot is too busy doing god knows what to really care about balance. I'm tired of having the same devourer/tank junglers being viable while early/gank reliant junglers staying average/shit throughout the entire game. Give us a bit of variety, a bit of sustain, maybe cater to us a bit like you do with laners. I'm not asking to have every jungler be a hyper carry but maybe don't limit us so much to the point where only cancerous junglers get to reach that late game where they're still viable while everyone else has to settle for bursting unexpecting squishies and splitpushing the whole game.

Maybe you shouldn't be building the mage enchantment on a heavy fighter juggernaut then

Its not uncommon to see top fighter evenjuggernaught get 1 fully offensive item. Its just nice to be able to meet your other front line duties first.

It'd be like forcing garen to have to build item 3142 as his first item if he wants to use it.

Even if he fed and is losing to top lane, cant buy defensive stat until he completes ghostblade. It maybe not be end of world, which is why we just deal with it. but its unnecessarily devoid of fun.

If we want a diverse champion pool to exist and thrive as opposed to watching the same picks, we need more flexible items.

And then the early game junglers become broken as hell, because they get free 350 gold twice.

Say it takes 20 camps. That still some time before they make it back. Leaves plenty of time for laners to prepare. Itd be no less broken then junglers that get full use of their jungle item off the bat. Mostly why we see offensive jungles esp devourers ones thrive so much. Like a pantheon with warrior, a khazix warrior. Elise echoes, rumble, fiddle with echoes etc. The champions that would benefit from this aren't even in the meta. If anything it'll mostly just bring them up to par with where they ought to be.

they don't get 350 gold twice, they can just jungle for "free" sooner. Why should it cost anything to jungle. I get making it such that only one person (maybe two) can build a jungle items. As if lane pressure was not reason enough to have just one jungle. come mid game you laners can farm the jungle just fine, even the enemy team invades it. Think of the jungle as a 4th lane, its just it doesn't apply pressure but does provide a source of income.

There is enough of a disincentive to not buy one if it means clearing multiple camps before you get your money back for stats that have no value in skirmishes.

You said the tailsman and machete each refund 350 gold. That's twice, for 700 free gold.

they give no stats in battle. if it was the other way around everyone would complain. Imagine if you needed an item to just farm lane minion but the jungler could use regular items to farm jungle that could be used against champions while ganking.

Also its not free. you still have to stack it to get the gold back by clearing camps.

this allows you to delay building cinderhulk to later in the game.
