I still hate playing on purple side.
got 2 games in a row now. can we finally get an option to flip the screen?

With the offset camera I now prefer it.

the angle is just weird. why wasnt this taken into consideration with the sr rework?
It was. They just can't do anything about it.
It was and they changed it... They shifted the camera kind of dramatically actually.

yea, they changed the angle. but we still have the angle. id just like to be able to flip the view when im on purple. even after the change, it still feels weird.
what they could have done is just go one step further and let us change the perspective.
That isn't exactly just 'one step further'.
The entire summoners rift is designed to be seen at one perspective, looking at it from the other would require adding in a bunch of unnecessary models and texturing things that don't need it. It would be a lot of work to make it look passable, and it would still be disorienting for people who flipped it.
It's almost as if they really COULD have done this during the update.
But naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
It still would have taken the same amount of extra effort. Just because they happen to be working on it doesn't mean they can magically do it better.
I've seen some youtbers playing LoL with different angles (like 1st person perspective). Map didn't lack any models or textures from any side.
It looked horrible. They don't have the sky textured and the textures on the existing terrain is dramatically reduced at certain angles.
You didn't notice it because you weren't paying attention.
You missed my point.
I said SR map has ALL textures for every side. So There shouldn't be ANY problem with turning your view by 180 degrees (Baron bot, Dragon top).
That way players could choose if they wanna play from blue or purple perspective.
Incomplete textures. That was my point.
Might as well have no textures at all for all the work they'd have to do.

They said that the camera angle would be changed with it but I don't know what happened to that idea
Agreed.

pretty sure its red side now :^)
i don't understand the problem. This is only a problem if you're playing with fixed camera and if you're playing with fixed camera you're like pre-30 or bronze
I've posted about this a few times... people have literally been bringing this up for years... frigging years!
"We want players fight other players, not the game."
do you know how it feels when you play in red side after got blue side 10 times in a row? it feels like I am fighting the game TTmTT
I like purple side. The option to change it would be nice though. As long as they don't make me flip.
I don't understand how it feels any different to you people.

its counter intuitive. if youre playing on blue side, the camera is tilted into the direction youre actually looking. playing on purple always gives me the feeling that it looks wrong, because the camera is looking into the wrong direction. if that makes sense. its pretty much the same as looking directly at a mountain instead of downhill.
its just uncomfortable.
I mean, you still have the exact same amount of space available to you on either side. It's just a matter of positioning your camera so that your champion is closer to the top rather than closer to the bottom. I never even notice the difference when I'm playing, I just automatically adjust how I center my view.
IIRC Riot said that would be tricky to figure out respective teams for the newbies with baron and dragon and the various things in the jungle, so for consistency sake they won't do that :/

why not make it optional, and the default is off? so no newbies will get confused :/

thats such a fucking stupid excuse. you could have that optional.
the extra efford with the modeling is much more believable, but doesnt really make it better.
Pre-update there was a hack to freely change the camera angle. With the exception of a few bushes and the signs by baron/dragon everything looked fine. The "back side" of Summoners Rift was at least 90% modeled and textured.
Given that the map has/had the necessary back to be viewed from either side and the game supports the camera being flipped the only thing missing is Riot's willingness to implement a camera flip feature.
well ever since they added flipped sides and the new camera i haven't had a issue with the purple side personally i mean some parts are still weird but it atleast feels improved on then again for some reason i end up on purples side way more than blue like 3-1 im on purple side so just like everything else practice makes pefect
Lol join a twisted Tree line team. 100% equal on that map. if they cant change map like other said at least they could let us move the interface so 84% of it wasn't on the bottom.
I don't like blue side at all. Most of my losses come from blue side. Ragers, tilters and toxics -> blue. Wasting red -> blue. disadvantaging mana hungry junglers -> blue.

i hate it for the camera angle. not the positioning of jungle camps.
I feel like I get put on purple side so often, it's weird when I'm on blue side.
