List of Potential New Jungle Mages With Runic Echoes

With Runic Echoes being introduced there are a lot of champions who have potential to come back or maybe even get introduced into the jungle for the first time. I've not tested these but just looking at their kits, they should have enough clearing power to stay healthy in the jungle and enough damage and/or CC to gank lanes.

Annie: pro:

  • 4 second CD on Q with reset on-kill for nice clearing
  • lots of AOE with W and E when using its full duration
  • burst + passive allows nice ganks con: -probably very easy to invade/countergank -needs gold to be efficent

Brand: pro: -AOE dmg on E and W -his passive does % DOT dmg, devastating against monsters -Q gives 2 second stun at ability lvl 1, nice ganking tool combined with Brand's dmg -his passive and his spells have a lot of base dmg; not as gold-dependent as other carry/dmg junglers con: -probably very easy to invade/countergank

Fiddlesticks: nobrainer

Karthus: pro: -really good clearing with Q and E -one of the few good mage duelists -global ult as jungler con: -after W nerfs, ganks may be not as good; teammates have to bring CC themselves -very farm/gold-dependent -very mana-dependent

Morgana: pro: -Q from out of line of sight + ult for amazing ganking -W for nice clearing with Q for kiting camps -passive for natural jungle sustain -not as gold-dependent, still has CC, utility and base dmg without items con: probably very easy to invade/countergank

Cassiopeia: pro: -extremely nice clearing after lvl 2 -really high dmg -really good jungle duelist when played right con: -next to no CC -mana-dependent -passive will be hard to stack in the jungle

Special Mention: Rumble: pro: -Amazing Clearing -high damage when ganking -semi-good duelist -Rumble in the Jungle skin con: -ganks really damage-focused; not much CC himself

I would love to see some test reports on these as I myself am really bad at mages and Rumble, I might just get bad results because I play bad. If you have ideas yourself, please post them so that I can add them to the list and try them out.

Runic Echoes actually closed the avenue for a lot of junglers.

It's not a buff, it's a straight nerf, the naysayers were right.
