What are the plans for Lucian in the "marksman update" patch?

Im not a Lucian main, however he is still one of my top favorite go to ADCs in this game and ive always loved his theme ever since his first concept art was leaked. Once his kit was revealed i knew that this guy would be my main ADC even when the entire community thought he was trash. People soon realized how good he was however and that was pretty much his downfall. He has been nerfed so much that not only is he among the weakest of ADCs, but he also no longer has any uniqueness to his kit aside from his passive and ult, and as far as his ult is concerned MF does a MUCH better job...

The main problem i can see with him is that his E is a dumbed down clone of graves E and his W does absolutely nothing except gives him a TEMPORARY vayne passive... What do you guys have in store to help him out? Giving back the ability of his E removing slows would be awesome...

i'm sorry but lucian has no reason to be in the marksman update there is nothing wrong with his kit its just flat out how low numbers

vayne twitch caitlyn and varus need to be in the reworks vayne for obvious reasons caitlyn for obvious reasons twitch because while his ult immensely powerful the rest of his kit sub-par or trash varus isn't even played as marksman anymore

Varus isn't played marksman because he builds Maramuna and Armor pen instead of attack speed and crit?!?!? Get out of the slump of thinking all adc's need to build the same and the only good ones are the ones that scale better. Attackspeed/crit are good best on Jinx, Vayne, Trist and that is why they are play way more then the others. If more ADC's had wonkie builds like Blue Ezreal and Varus maybe Marksmen would be interesting.

The only reason to pick twitch is his Q and his R Caitlyn has no reason to be picked right now.

Change his W to a slow for the enemy instead of a speed boost for you. His W feels too boring right now.

Change his W to a slow for the enemy instead of a speed boost for you. His W feels too boring right now.

Having a slow on a carry that has the ability to dash around constantly is kind of dangerous balance wise.

I hate how everyone always links Lucian and MF's ultimates. Sure they look similar, but they serve TOTALLY different purposes in game. As a Lucian player, you should realize that his ultimate doesn't function like MF's in the slightest.

AoE will almost always be valued here. it is true that its not at all similiar to each other, but they both serve the same purpose and that is to do DAMAGE. since both ults deal damage MFs ult is more valuable because of the aoe. not only that but MFs ult can not be body blocked...

No, sorry. The purpose of literally everything in the game is to "do damage". No exceptions. However, how one does this is different for each champions. For example, Fiora dances around her opponents gracefully hitting weak spots, and Darius combos them to stack his passive, and then makes an example to all of his opponents of what happens to those who resist him. Even Support champions follow this. Except that instead of them doing damage, they set up their team to do more damage with wards and CC, etc. |You are right that the difference between Lucian and MF's ult is that one is AOE, and one is single target, but you also missed the fact that MF has to sit down and channel her ulti, and Lucian is able to dash around while he uses his. MF wants to get into a good position and just go trigger happy on the enemy team, while Lucian wants to dash around a fight and burst a single target while staying safe. That is the difference between their two ults. Lucian is much, much safer. And while MF's does more damage, the extra safety you get from picking Lucian cannot be overstated enough.

i stopped reading here to avoid wasting my time because of how idiotic of a statement it is....

first of all there is this thing called "utility" im sure you have heard of it. Kindred is an example of a champ that has a utility ult in that its primary purpose is NOT to do damage and instead keep teams alive.

Going further Bard TahmKench Thresh Braum all have utility ultimates, meaning there primary purpose is to NOT deal damage and instead provide CC for there team or in case to provide map movement for himself.

Like there is so much fucking wrong with that sentence that i am just going to only use marksmen as an example since it is most relevant.

Ashe Varus Kindred Kalista all have ultimates that either A) do no damage or B) does extremely little damage that it is irrelevant. this is because the primary purpose is to NOT deal damage and instead provide UTILITY for themselves or the team.

I understand that utility is a thing in this game. However, it all still boils down to "staying alive so that you can do damage" , "Temporarily removing someone from the fight so that you can do damage to other more valuable targets", "Locking someone down so that your team can freely damage them", or "Keeping your allies alive so that they can do damage"

Trust me.

certain champs are meant for different aspects of the game.. lucian ult can be grea tfor 1v1s and 2v2s. mf meant for a bigger team fight. Not every champ in this game is meant for a full 5v5

His ultimate sucks it does little to no damage can be easily dodged or blocked and the range is utter f@*#ry. And my boy if you fall behind even the slightest as Lucian " prepare your anus". Btw am I the only person aware of this, as a Blackman Lucian can't dance wtf Riot!

Lucian desperately needs a steroid in the form of his ultimate probably something that empowers his other abilities I am begging Riot to please look into this. Also consider reworking his passive, instead of double shots on spell cast make it an additional shot per spell cast so it can stack. This would make him the first champ that can rapid fire, it's unique and fits his gunslinger theme oh wait they gave that to Ashe.
