Yeah, so much is viable on Shaco already I would love to see these work as well. So many interesting builds could be formed but, I feel these two would make the boxes too mean to opponents.

I just saw that boxes can proc the new item 3116 effect (lol wiki). Maybe because it's not that powerful now?

All have somewhat individualized coding to try and make them work best for how they're meant to.

support shaco worked quite well actually before the rework, didn't try it after but he DOES have a permaslow and currently a lot of magic scaling so he does, or at least did, do quite a lot of damage plus his lack of needing flash let him gank his and other lanes easily.

you can't level up Q as a support, you have to level up boxes first, and then shiv (unless enemies are really passive) to get some damage in.

Your Q lasts 1.75 second on level 1.

How are you supposed to gank anything?

I've been playing Shaco Support since S3, and I've tried arguing that Shaco, thematically, should be THE Assassin / Support. There are a few things that could've been done to make him more suitable for life in-lane (I wanted to see these changes) but his Boxes make ganking his lane really tough thanks to their CC and vision. He's like the anti-assassin assassin.

Honestly i really dive the idea of music playing before the box pops up but 3 seconds is a bit too long. Also E dealing 400 dmg shiv is kinda op

Possibly. Numbers can be adjusted, it's the functionality that's important (the delay upon springing, like Jhin traps, and being able to press E twice, because it's 'two shiv', etc.)

i mean, i play shaco as well, and i used to play shaco support, but now since you cant cheese at lv1 by stacking boxes in the bush, its lost a lot of its appeal to me. i know the scaling and all are better, but it still doesnt seem like its going to work

You'd be surprised how many people are stupid enough to give you first blood at 2:07 by just walking into the bush. I did AP Shaco support all the time pre-update (RIP). It was the most fun I've ever had in this game. Now that it's dead, I don't really play Shaco anymore.

My strategy so far hasn't involved cheese. I'll place boxes up and to the side of minions to zone our enemies. Ideally an ADC with good range / poke like Cait or MF is preferable. She can farm safely and I can focus on having vision, boxes to fall back on, and poking when I can. ~~I've manged to climb to Gold 4 ~~ I've been carried to Gold 4 for what that's worth.

I think the issue comes from Shaco's boxes not applying spell effects altogether, which I don't think needs to happen when we already have Zyra's plants able to "abuse" them much more readily. This also applies to Heimerdinger's turrets as well, if I'm not mistaken, so hopefully Riot could do a mini-pass on those special-cased summons in the future.

heimerdinger's turrets apply rylais but not liandries. this is an intended feature, though. diving himerdinger is already painful enough

Okay, but that just creates a situation where either Heimerdinger's turrets are already unhealthy, in which case they need a redo, either they're intended to be strong when diving him, in which case spell effects would only add to that strength. The major negative to enabling spell effects on Heimer's turrets would be that it might cause them to pop Luden's at unpredictable locations, but that might be an acceptable sacrifice, considering Heimerdinger isn't meant to be a burst champion.

Yes please, this is why I take relic shield on support Shaco. Sometimes ancient coin but, that is when I want to go ap and know this item isn't available.
