Akalis still not in the right spot but I have an idea
With all the mages still being powerful picks and tank/aoe junglers running around, Akalis laning phase is harsher than most of the midlaners. She can fight a few matchups well, but often times gets punished by junglers with cc and aoe damage. This has resulted in akali having one of the worst pre sixes in the game, which is boasted by her 46% win rate. So the logical answer should be to raise her laning presence pre six. I have an idea that will give her a little deserved lane pressure without having to risk too much, and it shouldnt be completely overbearing for the enemy team.
When akali throws her q at someone pre six, there really isn't much to do with it. If you're fighting another melee champion, you can w to proc it but the amount of melee champions i've been fighting mid decreased significantly after the assassin update. So besides the 30 or so damage akali does with her q, that's about it if the enemy laner plays it right. This makes it easy for them to just bully her under tower where she might have trouble csing without her passive. So what I think would be a good change, would be for the q to do the initial damage again when the mark runs out. So when Akali qs someone, she has two options. Auto the mark for that sweet, succulent damage. Or wait for the mark to run out where it'll do a little bit more damage. This would give her some decent poke which would greatly help her pre six.
What do you guys think? It's essentially a small damage buff but not in her regular combo, so it would only really affect her laning phase.
