Aurelion Sol, the Champion Born Outdated.

When anounced, i was excited by the concept of a star forging entity as a champion.

But his kit made him stale, and I suspect that to be the cause of him being mostly unused. His W only makes his passive stronger. His E Is a simple initiator but only works if paired with Q, which, due to its speedy will be dodges anyways.

My suggestion is to merge E and Q in a single spell (twerking numbers).

And fill the new spell with something like "Aurelion sends his stars forward and they remain orbiting that spot, draining Mana while its kept active". That could even have tactical applications like luring enemies to bushes.

Or/and an ability like "Black hole" Creates a zone surrounding him that slows enemies, if an enemy hits the border (event horizon) becomes stunned.

Or something like that, I feel like the champion has potential, but requieres several tweaks, or a rework.

I feel like just making his Q have no time gap between activation would make him a lot more enjoyable.

It just feels bad when someone walks right next to you can you can't do anythin but auto and die.

I’ve been maining Aurelion Sol a lot the past year. He’s my go-to if Anivia is unavailable. I just love control mages.

What makes him feel bad to play in my own opinion are a few things.

  1. He can’t get the jump on anyone.

He’s not able to hide in a brush anywhere because his passive reveals that he’s in there in the first place. So the way around this is you have to postion yourself behind the brush, out of the enemy’s field of vision, as to not give yourself away. This only works if you have vision of the enemy via ward or ally.

His E also reveals him as he is flying in. So using this as an initiative to a fight isn’t in your best interest. Using this while the enemy is distracted fighting your ally will give you a better success rate for hitting your Q as you fly in.

  1. Crowd control makes his stars disappear for a short duration.

Negating a large part of what Aurelion Sol needs to do anything in a fight. It feels like the champion is “switched off” for the moment and it feels bad. A well placed silence from Soraka in summoner’s rift or the constant flying silencing crows from Fiddlesticks in an ARAM game shuts him down completely.

  1. His expanding Q is nothing more than a noob trap.

Flying in with an ever expanding Q feels great but is easily dodgeable since you see him coming in from a mile away. It can feel more like a gimmick than anything. Flying in with E then using Q while closer to the enemy is always the right choice.

  1. He needs a skin.

Lemme tell you a story about the last time I played Aurelion Sol. It was aram. As what sometimes in aram, I was in a few short random fights. I was using my W when I get stunned by something, the enemy team doesn't focus me and I wait out the CD before turning it back on. Immediately i'm stunned again, I didn't see the W and stood in it too long. Ok My bad, starting to get annoyed now but whatever. I wait out the CD and again turn on my W. Instant Soraka silence. Now i'm tilted. it's been around 10 seconds or so now and I've been blocked out of the fights. Soraka silences me pretty much any time I try to help out in a fight for the rest of the game. I can't remember the last time I was that tilted. I never want to touch Sol again

aurelion sol was dope actually, then they nerfed him, then they made runes reforged and most of this shit is useless to him because everyone can burst him before he does anything relevant LOL

twerking numbers :p

In all seriousness, he is a flawed champ. His passive is dumb and useless. Only when W is on is it a good spell. Should had gotten rid of it all together and just had W be activated for a fix time and then go on CD
