Have you ever thought that if Riot tweaked Yasuo's Windwall, he wouldn't have been a problem?
I know, I saw the threads of people defending Yasuo and calling out on Yasuo haters.
All that nerfs though, have you ever thought that the real problem on Yasuo was his ability to negate your abilities while having ways to ensure his abilities aren't negated?

Yasuo
** Yasuo belongs to the class we’ve been calling Slayers, known informally as ‘melee carries.’ These champions (like Riven or Fiora) are nimble yet squishy duelists with the damage to slay anyone**, provided they make proper use of their windowed defensive tools (like Wind Wall or Riposte) to survive. By contrast, Fighters (like Vi or Darius) can take a moderate beating as they dish out their own damage, but lack the agility of a Slayer. But what happens if a Slayer gains the tankiness of a Fighter?
Tank Yasuo happens. While lacking the explosive offense of a crit build, Tank Yasuo's damage and mobility remain above average due to his kit, while his items grant him the durability he normally lacks. We’re looking to break up the trifecta and force Yasuo to commit to just a few strengths (instead of all of them). Defensive builds will retain their stickiness, but see a sharp drop in damage. We’re happy when players adapt their styles to the needs of the game, but when Yasuo (like Ekko and Fizz before him) can cover his weaknesses without making tradeoffs, it’s not a fair experience for anyone
Why does Yasuo gets compared to Fiora and Riven, but only Fiora gets explained? Riven has no defensive tools, and it sure felt like Scarizard just threw in a Riven comparison to make everything seem like there's bigger problems to worry about (like Riven). Fiora has Riposte you say? Why... Fiora is cc-immune for .75 seconds and benefits herself only. Meanwhile, Yasuo has a wall erected for 3.75 seconds and benefits the entire team smart enough to stand behind it, which is most of the time.
I don't recall Fiora being a melee carry anymore, but more of a duelist. Riven is hardly a melee carry but does excellent job at assassinating back line carries and supports and is the very definition of a mobile duelist with lots of damage. Fiora has less mobility compared to Riven and Yasuo, and Yasuo has on par mobility (if not more) with Riven, so why does Yasuo need windwalls to have favorable trades? Instead, Yasuo should play like Riven, using mobility to outwit opponents. On top of that, Riven doesn't have a passive that gives her a shield, her shield does not regenerate for free. She has to cast her E to get a shield off and receive the cooldown penalty.
Meanwhile, Yasuo gets his shield popped, walks around for 5-8 seconds, and gets a free, almost Banshee-like protection again. On top of that, his ultimate is semi free. So long as someone does the knock up for him, he gets a free cast. Fiora and Riven on the other hand, needs to work for their ult. Riven has to whittle down her opponent before Wind Slash gets stronger, Fiora has to kill her targets to reap the benefits. Yasuo on the other hand, receives 50% armor penetration that applies to his critical strikes, and his crit chances are doubled. This means his crit chances are higher and almost 80% of his strikes in a game are guaranteed to crit, dealing tons of damage.
TL;DR... So, damage and mobility isn't quite a problem. It's the Windwall. When Yasuo's damage and mobility are on cooldowns, he has one last trick up his sleeves - Windwall to prevent you from having a favorable, or even a fair trade.
