Should Lamb's Respite only heal Allies?

To ensure clarity: I'm only talking about the actual heal at the end, not the invulnerability.

At first thought reading the ability I'd say yes. Will need to play them some with the question in mind to see what that does for my opinion.

ACTIVE: Lamb blesses the ground under herself for 4 seconds. While inside the area, all units (including champions, minions and monsters; both allied and enemy) cannot be reduced below 10% their maximum health. Units in the area who reach the threshold cannot be healed while within for the remaining duration. All units within the zone are healed immediately after the blessing ends. HEAL: 200 / 250 / 300

Actually TBH thinking about it I'm kinda surprised it has a heal at all, but that's not a thought of design-judgment. After all, healing nobody and healing everybody has the same balance-factor.

If it heals allies only, it just becomes another cheap invuln ultimate.

And I repeat myself: I'm only talking about the heal at the end, not the invulnerability. It would make everyone/thing unkillable while in it. I hate Tryndamere too.

Like I said, it'll become another cheap invuln ultimate. Only really benefiting her team and taking away all semblance of tactical use.

You can't claim either of those things when enemies in it can't die.

Your allies are getting a heal right after, the enemy is still stuck at 10% HP, yes I can.

A 300 point heal, which by late game is practically negligible anyway. ADC's doing over half that in one AA and abilities doing well above that.

And pray tell what's stopping your team from using all of that against the enemy still stuck at 10% hp? And a 300 heal late game is far from negligible, as it's easily the difference between a one shot and living to take advantage of the enemy's blown CDs.

I expect all living players to be using everything, but, if Kindred had to use their ult in the first place, chances are their team was losing the fight. One or more of their teammates is going to walk out of the ult and die, someone always does. In my experience as, with, and against Kindred in teamfights involving their ult, there's generally more of the enemy team alive at the end of the ult, because while Kindred's teammates walk out of it, the enemy walks into it.

Players and what they do need to be accounted for in ability design. As it stands, Kindreds ult gives the advantage to the enemy as/more often as/than it doesn't. The source of that problem is the player mistake of walking out of it when they shouldn't, but the mistake is made often enough to be considered normal, therefor a problem still exists. If it only healed allies, it would actually be an ability for the team using it.

Such is the initial thought process. As I said, I need to go play as Kindred with this question actually in mind. See how many of my teammates walk out of my ult to their deaths; see how often what should save them becomes an advantage for the enemy. Perhaps actively watching for it will make it seem more/less common than it does from playing as/with/against Kindred without the question in mind.

So the ultimate should be heavily buffed because the people you play with aren't smart enough to stay inside of the AoE as opposed to walking out? Balancing around player ignorance is pretty terrible design.

The ultimate is sort of designed to be more of a fight equalizer tool as opposed to an advantage gaining tool and overall, that's not really a bad thing; it just means you need to use it in the appropriate scenario. If the enemy team blows all their ultimates on your team and Lamb's Respite prevents everyone from dying long enough for your team to be able to reduce them down to your health, and you've got an ultimate on reserve that'll kill them as Lamb's Respite wears off, then it did its job.

No, it's specifically balanced around all things being invulnerable to death and then healing everything.

it's the only thing in her kit i actually think is unique and interesting about her, why take that away?

If you remove heal on enemies, it becomes exteremely OP because even little amounts of heal like this can change entire destiny of teamfight.
