What credentials are required to get hired into the balance team?
Haha. Seriously, Riot. Do better.
Haha. Seriously, Riot. Do better.
All you need is being able to change a number in the code.
Be an adc/tank main and ur good to go
honestly i tempted to say some form of drug addiction as a joke.
but i think the real issue is them not actually upgrading the Pbe servers and using them to test changes but only using them to look for bugs. It should not be that hard to notice some things that just slip right past them if something is showing some crazy good numbers in pbe take a second look have a play test team test it something or just add some bonus time on Pbe to watch it don't push it too live. No one expects you guys to be perfect but we do expect you to at least try no reason not to implement these changes. Yes you should experiment how else will you know whats going to happen but you run tests in a laboratory (pbe) first second upgrade the pbe third draw people to the pbe and incentive people to play new champions/reworks with some kind of reward or small token special emblems on live or something special emotes idk special skin if you play a lot of pbe or something.

A Historical knowledge of Damoclese
How many times have the community QQ messed up the balance? Alll of our constant QQ continuously coerce Riot into overbuffing and overnerfing champs and whatnot a great shit ton of times.
But then, we all have the nerf (pun?) to blame Riot's balance team for everything, when we're proven, historically, again and again that, the majority of us don't know wtf we're talking about when it comes to balance.
This isn't to say Riot's balance team are all gods who do no wrong, I mean shit they do make a sizeable amount of mistakes no doubt about that, but maybe be less reactionary and trigger-happy on smiting them outright?
