Can Veigar get a new passive?

Big Lincoln··2 votes·677 views

i feel like he has to have one of the least interesting passives out there, and honestly even though it's "invisible power" it doesn't really feel that powerful. it doesn't do much early game and it's nothing I notice when mana isn't really an issue (after item 3165 / item 3174 buy ). other mana sustain passives Xerath Chogath Swain require some sort of interaction or last-hitting skills, but Veigar's is just... there.

couldn't you guys think up something more interesting and better suiting for a tiny master of evil?

Make him grow in size and gain AP as he kills enemies! NO MORE SHORT JOKES!!!

What about:

Veigar's spells return mana equal to 10/15/20% of the damage dealt(minimum of 15)

how about instead of it going up with how much he gets what if it went down such at 20,15,10 because he does like 1k per W so he would never run out of mana late game making his mana item such as morello or tear useless letting him get another big damageing item

That would be counterintiutive....

Not sure how you think his passive needs to be replaced. It is a really good passive that does really well with Veigar's mana costs. And that if you build him mana with regen (item 3003 +item 3174 ) it's really hard to go oom with him. Which means more farming and 20% CDR means, you guessed it more farming. Thats why I like this build on him item 3003 +item 3174 + item 3158 + item 3089 + item 3157 +item 3135 . Really good ap and defense combined with nice CDR and mana pool.

It's not an interesting passive

I don't even build mana items on him; that's a waste of his mid-game power. I go item 3165 or item 3174 and then straight into a damage item like item 3285. I don't notice the passive ever; the mana regen item pretty much solves my mana troubles anyway.

Your mid game power in my build is the CDR combined with mana regen and decent mana and AP due to Archangels. I can get around 12+ MP/s with this build which gives me enough to throw Qs nonstop and still have mana to fight. Also the 1k mana allows you an extra like 8 rotations not even including the massive mana regen you have.

I guess.

I still don't think it's a good passive; at the very least, it's just.. boring.

He should get something like : Gets more Movement speed the more %Mana he has. Or %Magic Penetration the less Mana he has.

Of course, even better would be that if he gets charges (like annie for example) for.... killing minion... and if these charges is full, then the delay of his E is nullified, the next time he uses it.

Or whe can just buff his passive adding more options to it:

  • Veigar's mana regeneration is increased by 1.5% per 1% missing mana. This is dubbled for 5 seconds after scoring a kill or assist.

If they gave him a new passive, he would have to have his mana costs instantly buffed, otherwise he would be unusable.

Which means, since his powerbudget was now moved from the passive to the mana costs, his passive would have to be overall weak and underwhelming.

Just my thoughts.

you could just give him better mana regen innately, or give him a refund mechanic on his Q, being that it's a relatively expensive farming mechanic

having "better mana regen" as a passive is just kind of lame
