They already build the item now so what is your point? They will have a little more AD and less MR?

Its tanks and AD melees.

Mages are trash because of the above and items like item 3156 item 3814 item 3071

And they have no legitimate defensive options vs AD

There was a reason nobody bought old banshees, the passive shield is too unreliable.

I mean just compare that to item 3814

And also it doesnt give armor

Did you see the changes for it now? iirc the passive is going to have a cd of 45-8 based on level

I mean ap champs dominate 1 role with Talon still being god and Zed/Yasuo being top tier. Ad champs dominate top, jungle and bot with a few good ap picks like Elise or Rumble lol.

Yeah AP tops are never popular and I'd like to see more mage junglers honestly.

Magic pen and AP may need some serious buffs after the update.

What I dont like is how there are so few good ap items that arent only built on like 2 champs. Melee ap assassins build the exact same items as ranged mages. Plus there is one good magic pen item... against the 6 good ones with armor pen, unless you count magic pen boots.

Well that is the issue with AP items. They are held at the mercy of mages.

There are AP champs prevalent and or dominating every position except Debatably jungle.

with Talon still being god and Zed/Yasuo being top tier.

In what universe? Talon only does okay mid and was only particularly good toplane. Zed has received no changes since the season started and Yasuo got nerf'd.

Those AP champs being? Literally none top other than maybe Kayle but she isnt "dominating" and her ridiculous win rate for like a year doesnt matter anyway apparently. Swain is pretty good imo but he isnt dominating the meta at all either. Jungle theres... Gragas and Amumu but those are mostly tanks. And bot.. well.

Top has Vlad , Rumble, Swain off the top of my head. Mage supports have been a running amok in support Ziggs opened up a phenomenon bot Graggy , Amumu, Elise, Evelynn jungle.

They aren't all OMG PICK OR BAN, but they are all doing great in their respective roles/positions, Let us not even mention midlane.

what changed? they can already buy it, and they do it all the time

they're becoming more vulnerable to magic damage, while having a little gold efficiency from AD but not as good as old MR, and price didn't changed

ITS LOSING 20 ARMOR AND 40 MR TO GAIN 30 AD

Actually its losing 30 armor and gaining 40 ad and losing 40 mr and passive changed from 70 health or 30% max health to changed to 50% base health.

Nothing would go wrong all those champs built it anyway, the only difference is that they'll gain no MR and have less armour from it so they'll be squishier to mages and AD.

None of those champs bought it until after at least 3 items. Now its a rush item giving them AD allowing them to snowball without dying because there are no legitimate defensive options vs AD champions for mages or ADCs. Dont give me item 3157 its cd is 2x as long as most of these guys ultimates and is a horrible rush item.

In the same instance that you gave about hourglass then GA would be a terrible rush item. cd 4-5x longer than any ultimate, only 40 ad and a measly 30 armor it does nothing against any magic damage so hell there goes my only mr item at times. You're literally complaining about them not being able to die and im guessing against magic dmg because you listed hourglass, but the item doesn't give any damn mr.

Not really, the item is still situational. It would be pointless to built it if you are behind because if a champ can blow you up they'll just blow you up again after you resurrect. The build path is bad and offers no snowball potential, compared to getting a item 3134 . Like the old GA it becomes a bit worthless once you lose the passive.
