a solution for current system forcing players to lose LP after return even after win
Current system incentivizes disconnected players to stay disconnected, as there is no benefit to coming back and trying to win. What if leaver buster were to decide LP change for prolonged-disconnected players based on honors and reports upon winning the match? Since only 1 player can be honored by each person, it does not have much room for abuse.
If [number of honors] is lower than [number of afk reports], then lose LP If [number of honors] is same as [number of afk reports], then no LP change If [number of honors] is higher than [number of afk reports], then lose LP
For example, a disconnected-and-returned player getting 0 honor and 0 afk reports would get no LP change from winning. A disconnected-and-returned player getting 1 honor and 2 afk reports would still lose LP regardless of winning.
Even if it's not for LP gain, disconnected players would be incentivized to come back to at least prevent LP loss. A player who gets disconnected for prolonged time causes harm to his/her team regardless, so it would rather be unfair if prolonged-disconnected players are to gain LP normally like all others upon winning. Putting a little thought would show such would be easily abusable even without premades.
