An Anti Shield Item Is The Only Way Assasins Can Work.

You cant just buff assasins because of Janna and Lulu and you cant realy nerf suports just because they nulify assasins. An antishield item is the only way.

Assassins need buffs and shields need nerfs, but enemy marksmen having an ally nearby ready to shield them is a textbook example of a situation that an assassin should suck balls in, and real hard at that.

Assassins tools are supposed to be roaming, snowballing and surprise. They should put their enemies in the dirt before they start grouping, and if they can't do that they need to single out someone.

If assassins need ability to jump in and ignore people protecting their victim to work, their playstyle is not worth keeping and they should be all reworked into divers or skirmishers.

As much as I don't like playing aganst assassins, I don't believe it to be true.

janna and lulu just counter assasins too hard. This is hurting the foundation of the game, counterpicking should never put someone in such a horrible disadvantage. That much is obvious to me,assasins cant be buffed because a lot of them are already troublesome in the midlane,a lot of players forget that assasins are not played as marksmen theyre played in mid against an enemy who does not have a janna with him,you cannot just buff assasins because the enemy might pick janna.

As much as I don't like the idea of an anti shield item due to what grievous wounds have shown us riot is basically forced to release insane bandaids for assassins since they cant just make the kits good. I still have the memory of me jumping on a vayne and her gaining shields for most of her hp bar. That was just fucking insane.

it's not like assasins are the only class negatively affeected by shields.

Duelist styled tanks such as hec, shyvana aren't a fan, bursty mages like syndra or lux aren't a fan. Any class that is dedicated to fighting and chasing adcs is negatively effected by shields and right now we been stuck in a enchanter support meta since last worlds. Likkrit even made fun of it saying.

"nami karma nami karma nami karma zzzzzzzzzz"

Champs like Heca and Shyvana can do consistent damage, cc people and build tanky and champs like Lux or Syndra have range + cc + wave clear. They arent a fan but they dont become completely useless and contribute nothing to a team.

I'm more worried about how this harms self shield tanks.

Idc if it's an "assassin item" ADCs have proven to function very well with assassin gear.

a lot of those champions are already in line for a rework,if riot has no plans for them till then it will just make them get a rework faster than expected.

Sion, Poppy, Tahm, are not champions in line for a rework.

Those are who I care about.

only tahm has a kit that heavily revolves around his shield and cant just be fixed by a few value changes.the other one is morderkaiser who is already headed for a rework.

Sion's shield is very important to his kit as it's his only tanking steroid to us in combat and it's a threat generation ability.

it will depend on the item,if its an item whose stats will be discouraging toplaners to buy it i dont think sion is going to have an issue that cannot be fixed with value changes.

GW is the most one-sided stat check possible and I feel if they do something similar with shields it will be horrible.
