Is malz support strong

I main yorick currently but I play mid as my secondary role. If I get mid I play malz. I do pretty good. From what I see, your goal is to help your team in fights rather then oneshot everything in sight. Malz does have burst damage. His ult is the main thing in low elo although I did go up against an Elko one time who thought it was so cancer that he bought qss. I still won. Anyways, what about malz support. Is it still strong atm or are there just better supports.

malz sup is pretty strong you can poke and silence, especially helpfull in engages, while their sup wants to use cc on your adc :P

and his dps + voidlings push back any adc or sup, sure they can oneshot them but its too much during a fight for them XD

the supression is handy in engage as well or in a clean getaway.
