I was 6/2 Ahri and a 7/6 syndra clicked R and killed me while I had an Abyssal, so why do I waste my money on Abyssal if she can kill me with R anyways + I was not low I had almost full hp. this is the most bs I've seen in league so far . killing someone from 95%-0 with one button is not ok.

Alternatively you can just build Hexdrinker and laugh at her being unable to oneshot you no matter what she does.

MR alone isn't enough, you also need health with it. in addition it depends on what stage of the game, if shes 6 items you're going to need a BV.
considering she had sorc boots pen runes and a void staff, 1 abyssal isn't a "now i win game?" thing
gunblade into spirit visage on every champion.
make a rune page with a lot of MR for when you face certain champs
Play veiger adn rush Banshees, DMP
Literally build Zhonyas (for ap and Maw for AD)... people forgot that item exists for some reason this season and a bit of last season and because of that Syndra's become "stronger". You can also take exhaust too then you have exhaust and zhonyas and she will just fall off from not getting ahead early.
I build ROA on like every mid laner, so I don't really get one shot unless it's Kat / Ori lately.
