Where is the counterplay to zed?

I know the reason for the assassins update was to give more counterplay so Assassins won't one shot u without any chance to fight back, and I think this update just made alot of assassins useless. But again the assassins that were Already good Are now even stronger(khazix, rengar, zed...). I mean if I'm playing an Adc how do I survive a zed ult he's just gonna delete me without anything for me to do . you may say that I shouldn't be walking the map alone but keep in your mind that I'm talking About a 5v5 situation with good vision And good map awareness . I mean he can just ult me and go back to his shadow and max out the damage with his shadows and I'm dead nothing I can do, unless I have both summoners up wich is not gonna keep me alive for 2 team fights when I need flash+heal in both of them.

Honestly with how strong support items are right now, Zed cant do anything to you in a team fight, unless of course he is fed. Then again that's all assassins. They are currently useless in team fights because of Exhaust/support items. The only way Zed is getting the upper hand on you in a team fight is if your team just isn't paying attention. Other than that there are the normal tips like building steraks/GA, just getting better at dodging in general, and positioning. Even building an armor item wouldn't hurt, you need to understand if Zed fails his assassination he is useless for the rest of the team fight most of the time. Surviving is your priority. But if you are doing all of those things and Zed is somehow still killing you in a 5v5 you need to tell your team to keep their eyes on him.

Remember Zed needs to be in melee range to get a kill with death mark, he cant simply swap to his shadow and maximize his damage. Also Zed isn't strong, he is one of the weaker mid laners currently and he has been since he got the nerfs, he didn't even receive buffs in the update, it was just a pointless change.

Zed has counterplay. Period. He was also nerfed pretty hard in the assassin update. As long as your support can peel he's useless in a 5v5. You also recently played against a Zed so i'm just gonna assume this is a QQ thread.

the fact you don't mention who you want to play says that the first step to countering zed is understanding more of the fine details regarding this game

Playing an immobile ADC? Assuming you're talking about Lategame: item 3157 Looks kinda stupid on most adcs but is working perfectly fine. This season it's even better due to a reduced price and some CDR you can use... and do your mid a favor and dont die to the first gank of Zed. ^^'

If you're with your team and you died anyways, you either positioned badly or your team didn't correctly peel/stop him.

steraks gage is by far the best item against zed. or ga. assassins do one thing well and that is killing people with as much guarntee as possible.

if you wanna be more durable by defensive item you dip

try using a item 2055 Kappa you see ivan, if you put ward down, it distracts the zed so he forgets to kill you instantly, thus giving you moment to watch him stand there and wonder why you dropped a ward randomly.

anyone with half a brain will admit this does distract you the first time.

once it's mid game as long as you didn't feed him to death you should be able to survive his ult and with a team put a whoopin on him

To be fair, most ADC's right now that are meta can just one shot almost any assassin. The support itemization is really strong to and tanks are strong as well, basically everything is against them and heaven forbid someone is smart enough to take Exhaust cause every assassin becomes useless if exhaust is thrown on them. Then all of the assassins fall off late anyway so even if they get ahead they'll be useless later anyway. If anything the only assassin's you might have trouble with are Rengar and Kha'zix, maybe Katarina if she's good but other than that they all suck.

Ban him. Buy Bloodthirster. Buy Guardian Angel. Buy Zhonya's Hourglass (even as an AD!) Get your whole team to play champions that can shield you. Surprise him by building full tank. Play Vayne and oneshot him from stealth before he can ult you.

aiming CC for where he lands after ult (directly behind you) and avoiding shurikens as best you can manage

having an attentive support for shields and heals, or having exhaust up (you can take it yourself if you can convince them to take heal in your stead)

If you cant rely on your teammates, then I like to make item 3053 .

Its just more important that you pick an adc that can deal with him. Not all adcs can.
