This is so out of touch with your player base.

He's a one-trick pony that either makes or breaks a play. His design is simply archaic.

You've got the same issue with Nidalee. Throw a spear, miss and wait... Throw a spear, miss and wait... Throw a spear, hit and go go go.

I'll be the odd one out and say that Blitzcrank is actually weak in any game that gets late. He picks off champions very well and team fights very poorly. If you have flash maybe you can flash in for an AOE silence and get one pull/knock-up in a team fight and that's it.

I'll actually have to agree with Meddler on this point. The pro and cons balance out.

He's one of the biggest one-trick ponies, definitely. That has nothing to do with balance, though.

Even if you miss a hook you can flash in, knockup, aoe silence. No reason to wait if your team needs to engage.

One trick pony or not, a good Blitz pull will win a teamfight from the beginning by snatching one person away from the enemy team so you can delete them and have the numbers advantage. Even then his knock up is on a low enough cooldown you can still provide cc for your team in a slightly extended teamfight. Also, a good Blitz will save his ult for the remainder of the enemy team to make that 4v5 hell for them.

I think Blitz would be perfectly fine as long as Thresh wasn't in the game. But Thresh having a better version of his hook in that he doesn't have to engage with it, a huge AoE slow, a better knockup, and his insane Lantern ability.. it's like.. Why bother with Blitz ever? I like his kit though - he does a lot more than just hook, you just have to pay attention in team fights. Great at stopping channels, great at peeling for your carry, etc.
