everyone was complaining about how weak he was a month ago. now he's being picked at worlds quite often.

I'm not sure, but I thought he was okay before worlds. Overall maybe a touch on the weak side, but he's got the best chase/escape in the entire game... that has to come at some cost.

I sort of hope his buffs on the PBE get reverted / toned down. I'm not down for a meta where Kassadin is a prominent pick. Unlimited long ranged blinks are not fun. Cho'gath buffs seem unnecessary as well. Not quite sure what the thought process has been in the current PBE patch to be honest... (at least GP gets a real nerf, Morde's nerf won't do much at all, Riven nerf is okay but unnecessary, Veigar nerf is meh, Zilean update is pretty cool).

I could tell one thing by reading your post... You are an ADC main so that is why you hate assassins. Get real ADC's have been out of control for 3-4 patches now and need SOMETHING to hold them down. Anyways Kass has a niche and is better vs heavier AP comps because of his passive and doesn't have the easiest lane fighting vs mostly ranged champions.

ADCs are at the weakest state they've been at in the game... I mean sure, at 40min+ they wreck everything, but they always have, that's the whole purpose of the role. The only reason they might seem strong is because games seem to go longer in the current meta.

Otherwise though, ADCs are incredibly weak in the early game, moreso than before. The support pretty much single handedly determines who wins lane if it comes to kills. All an adc does is farm.

And to point something else out: while yes, I am an ADC main, my comments on Kassadin were due to having recently laned against him as both Ahri and Veigar. Both times I won, but both times I felt sort of bogged down in lane when Kassadin is supposed to be a stronger late game champion due to his ultimate's mobility. So I figured he was a little on the weak side, but still good enough.

I've never even noticed a Kassadin as an ADC to be honest... although in the majority of my games, unless the enemy mid gets early kills and starts snowballing (which isn't something a Kass does) I roam mid before they roam bot more often than not.
