Why did we make Conqueror?

Now my solid armor build is completely useless against AD fighters, and thus fighters have lost a LOT of counters in lane. At this point it's just a competition of fighters on fighters orgy fest. Tryndamere Irelia Fiora No longer lose to Malphite who would honestly be one of their strongest counters, they just force their way through his massive Armor despite the fact that they're almost entirely auto-based. How does that make any sense? Adding a fighter oriented Rune wasn't difficult, but throwing more true damage at shit is the wrong way to try and fix it.

Fighters were struggeling to 1vs1 tanks, that is exactly what fighters should do: win the 1vs1 by the cost of being worse than tanks on teamfights.

i don't get it....Malphite after 3 items is almost can't die by any sort of AA champion and he want Malphite to not die in lane too...like what the hell is going on this dude mind.

Yeah there should be some outplay mechanics, like Fiora's passive.(great example) And it should require a huge skill and mechanical outplay for them to reasonably beat tanks. The problem is, with conqueror it's pretty much effortless to beat any tank because many fighters shred high HP targets already so armor was their only defense. But since riot threw true damage at them like a moron they cant do anything to protect themselves.

The balance problem that led to Conqueror was that tanks were becoming unkillable to bruisers and fighters in lane, making it so that those fighters couldn't snowball and push that to victory (which is the intended interaction).

Fighters didn't have a damage problem with killing squishies, but they did have one with tanks (and tanks are supposed to be countered early by fighter type champions). Allowing them to convert a percentage of their damage to true damage mostly effects tanks as opposed to squishy champs.

No, I'm pretty sure when a champion (Fiora ) gets ahead because she does % true damage + flat true damage and eventually ends the game with 50% of her damage being true damage, I think that's an issue, don't you? You really don't understand this at all, but true damage is disgusting and never really works as intended.

Here's what should have happened.

  1. increase in damage over time, that way it's an actual fair fight.
  2. Increased DPS, OR increased sustain.
  3. increased armor/magic pen, ramping up over time?

Wouldn't that have just made sense? Instead of chunking large amounts of true damage at something

Ever consider fighters should be killing fighters? Not everyone of a class should invalidate another class.
