It was indistinguishable from intentional feeding. He repeatedly died trying to dive turrets and going into 1v4s.
This system 100% does not have any value at Diamond and needs to be disabled.

Top is a bad lane where one kill can snowball the opponent into something that you have no way of fighting or farming against. This player was legitimately playing at a Bronze level, because they had absolutely no idea how to play their role or champion.
And this happens with virtually every auto-fill.

Auto-fill is not better than pick order when we could wait an extra 30 seconds and get an actually balanced game, with everyone in a desired role.
The system is a major fuck up that aggressively tries to start games, which is not good for ranked.

When did I say anything about the previous system? The problem with the current system is that it tries to start games too aggressively. If my queue goes over 3 minutes, there's probably going to be an auto-fill.

yep and you actually think that removing it would only increase the time by 30 seconds and that somehow pick order actually gave people the role that they wanted... sure dude you can complain about auto-fills all you want. Riot is not going to get rid of them because people don't play to your standards in every single game
