@Riot We Should Get More LP For Winning By Going Solo On Ranked

Because solo players actually challenge themselves and make their ranked climbing much harder without friends and versing against premade 5s.

the opposite is being done. premades gets ingame and outside of game rewards or playing as premade.

Seeing as how teams with only 1-3 player premades have an average sub-50% winrate in dynamic queue, I actually see no logical reason not to support this idea. We're playing at a disadvantage from the word go.

Riot has stated that premade penalties are not high enough.

Besides, there are solo players that have to deal with you on your team as well. What do they get for being dragged down?

That's not what this bar graph was showing...

It showed that in a match where a 1-, 2- or 3-man was matched against a 5-man, the 5-man had a ~55% win probability. It also mentioned that this was a 1 in every 1000 matches case.

1-3 player premades don't have a sub-50% winrate globally, just in this very specific and rare case.

So let me get this straight. If you go solo and are paired with a premade of 4, and they carry your sorry butt, YOU should get more lp?

Makes no sense. Whether you have a voice chat with your teammates or not, does not prevent you from working with them. And pairing yourself with others you know does not give you mechanical advantage, just a strategic one. So you are completely able to suck whether or not you have friends.

And please tell me the difference between a friend carrying you in a pre-made, and a stranger? You sucked and were carried either way.

*Note, "you" was used in a general sense.

Because that can happen whether there's a premade or not. However, outside of a premade, its often because of pure misplays. If there's a premade, your team's MMR is going to be lower than the enemy's due to the premade, making you more likely to lose.

Someone who got carried to gold and does not perform well will still go down with time.

Not only that, but solo players are likely to be better mechanically because they are not able to compensate for anything at their MMR by having a premade. The chances of a solo player legitimately getting consistently carried is pretty low. If it is consistent, how would it be any different than all of the bronze players being in gold due to Dynamic Boost?

Basically, they are being set back by premades in regards to matchmaking. They have a lower chance to win with a premade than without, as the system penalizes premade groups with an MMR buffer.

This is so wrong. You're completely misunderstanding the concept of the MMR buffer. It does not make you more likely to lose.

WoonStruck1 votes

Except it does more often than not if it close to balanced.

Look at Duos back in solo queue. People did not want them because they were statistically less likely to win. Not based on there being an MMR buffer (although there was one), but because it was logged fact that they has lower win-rates, with the exception of extremely synergistic bot lane duos.

Well, LP is mostly cosmetic so this change wouldn't really do anything.

If the MMR gain for playing solo was increased, that means the LP loss for losing to solo players would also need to be increased - since there can't be a change in the net amount of MMR without disrupting the whole system. Not really the worst thing I guess, but I don't think it would help in the way you'd want.

Even if you lose to a premade, they have X solo players. So, let's say you lose to a 2-man bot premade who just stomp and carry. Now your LP loss is increased by however much more MMR those three solo players are going to gain. Even if it's just an extra tic of 1 for each of them, that'll add up as you continue to play. If you win and loss roughly the same amount, there wouldn't be any significant change to your standing since it would probably all average out.

I do not want this as a solo player. I get asking for sky, but really why make trolls feed on this dumb idea?

Really sounds like you're asking to be boosted out of a lower ranking.

BloodyTompon1 votes

So to encourage Solo players they should introduce something that they can't see and can't notice and can't feel. That sounds like a pretty shitty way to encourage people.

Yeah that isn't a bad idea at all. Riot just needs to differentiate soloQ players and premade players, and if they refuse to reinstitute teamQs and soloQs then this is a good alternative.

Otherwise there is quite literally no reason to ever soloQ in ranked anymore! I mean based on what they said in that last video on the subject, if you start winning and carrying your games as a solo player then they'll start matching you against premades cause that's "fair" since you have a higher "chance of winning," completely ignoring the fact that the people you're playing against are a FUCKING PREMADE TEAM!

So yeah, rewarding soloQ players with more LP for wins since the whole process is just made that much more difficult with their own damn system would make a lot of sense!

Sadly Riot isn't dealing in "sense" right now.... but we can hope I guess.... will keep my eye on it for now at least.... from Overwatch.
